  1. Yeah; think the HO driver is better suited for car audio (and a smaller box). Love the HF version ... testing it right now BTW ... your T-nuts from Parts-Express were an absolute pain in the azz ... but after multiple attempts they were absolutely the best Cheers, Emile
  2. Had Cornwall's for 35 years ... awesome. But then I got "pro series" KPT-904's ... look for them; usually cheaper than Cornwall's and a lot better Cheers, Emile
  3. Hi @wvu80 ... yes; got the Dayton Audio 15" subwoofer as you recommended. Substituted the "HF" driver as it seems better for the box size and more "musical." Just finished it (OK; needs a couple more coats of Danish Oil) and trying to tune it with the Dayton SA-1000 amp. So to @Carlosrs... don't think you can go wrong with an 15 or 18" sub from Dayton Audio ... and save $1000. Cheers, Emile
  4. Yes; love my Marantz knobs ... and VERY disappointed by "no knobs" on tubes
  5. AWESOME! The tigerwood veneer looks incredible! Almost bought a set of 402 horns, but just couldn't find the space for it. So; got some 904's which aren't too bad . If you, like most Canadians , come down to Florida I'd probably gladly take them of your hands. Best luck with your health! Cheers, Emile
  6. Add-on ... Just looked up the KPT325 specs ... see http://assets.klipsch.com/product-specsheets/KPT-325-Data-Sheet-v04.pdf . Pretty impressive since the cabinet is only 12 1/4 inch deep. Freq range is 32-19kHZ on my 904's vs 42--20kHz on "your" 325's. So; think you will be fine for music ... but may want to add a sub for "thunder" movies But watch out ... just spend $500 and 2 weeks building a Dayton Audio subwoofer box and don't think it goes as low as my 904's Think these speakers sound so good because of the horns. The diaphragm is 2 inch vs 1 inch on the "consumer" series Klipsch speakers ... 400% bigger! If you have a WAF problem with the horns; take them off and put them in a separate box. (See my posting under "Klipsch Professional KPT-904" ) Believe you will like the 325's. Absolutely LOVE my 904's Cheers, Emile
  7. Hi, NO; but got the KPT904's ... absolutely awesome ... use them as 2-way speakers with my AV system. Replaced my Cornwall's/Forte's with these. Sound is much much better! Go for it! Cheers, Emile

    What I Got Today!

OK; just "had to" check in ... Got my Parts-Express subwoofer box a couple of days ago and put it together Waiting on the 15" driver Of course I had to chance the design ... turned it into a down-firing box and had to make legs, etc, etc.. Due to WAF; trying walnut veneer Will post pics IF it looks good. Waiting on the contact cement to dry; then 2nd coat and slap it on 3rd glass of wine (works better for veneering) ... Fixing dinner; Taco Tuesday Cheers, Emile

    CF-4

Never "heard" CF-4's, but almost bought a pair locally (Florida) for $800. Decided against it because replacement drivers are NOT available (could be wrong on this ) Cheers, Emile
  10. @Tom_Birmingham ... welcome and congrats. Sorry I'm "late" to the party Enjoy the Heresie's; they are very nice speakers. But in a month you will add a pair of Forte's ... then some Cornwall's or LaScala's or ... then some Professional Klipsch speakers The disease goes by many names ... Klipschitis ... etc. Cheers, Emile

    What I Got Today!

Maybe a "glass head" ??? for my headphones ???

    What I Got Today!

Hi Schu ... pretty cool ... may have to get one of those (hope it doesn't cost more than my headphones ). Where did you find it? Of course; need it like a "hole in the head." Cheers, Emile
  13. Hi @wvu80 ... hoping to get some advise ... especially since you "know" the Dayton Audio kits Have not used subs much ... had a 12" JBL with a plate amp; great for movies horrible for music Then, got a 4cuft box off CraigsList, put a 12" M&K in it and a (?200W?) Rythmic plate amp. Lot more musical, but not "great." So, was looking ... bottle of wine and I bought a Dayton Audio SA1000 off US-Audio Mart (mostly because of your suggestion "cheaper than buying 2 plate amps" ) Also found these Dayton Audio 15" boxes with Dayton Ultimax drivers ( https://www.parts-express.com/dayton-audio-15-ultimax-subwoofer-and-cabinet-bundle--300-7097 ). Was looking at 18" ones, but think it might be "overkill" for my setup as I have KPT904's as my "mains." Don't think my wife will like another "black box" (or a pair) in the room so believe I better put walnut veneer on them But, the only way I can "veneer" them nicely is to turn these "Front-Firing" subs into "Down-Firing" subs. The web is full of yes/maybe/no opinions on this. Sincerely appreciate your opinion ... and of course anyone else's. Many Thanks, Emile
  14. Yes; just sold a very nice pair of KG4's for $220 ... the average "listing" price was over $400
  15. Tampa Bay, FL region. "Excellent" condition walnut ones $1500-$2000 on CraigsList. Others down to $1000 (Only want a new member to have the best ) Cheers, Emile
  16. @Macho Kiljoy ... add-on ... the 904's were designed for a 200 seat theater vs living room for the Cornwall's. Spec comparison https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Professional-Logo-plastic-WHITE-72-mm-2-8-inch/152951894156?hash=item239ca4b08c:g:-DYAAOSwB1JasJ0w and http://assets.klipsch.com/product-specsheets/KPT-904-Data-Sheet-v04.pdf . Cheers, Emile
  17. @Macho Kiljoy Bought Cornwall's new about 1981 and always thought they were the "best" speaker ever. Until I got KPT904's about 3 months ago. They BLOW the Cornwall's away! Yes; per specs the Cornwall's go to (from memory) 38Hz vs 45Hz for the 904's ... you'll never notice The 904 have much more presence and sound quality ... the horns on the 904's are incredible! The Pro series horns are "way" bigger - diaphragms and throat are about 4x bigger area size. To me there is no comparison If you can find a pair, GET THEM! Only heard Khorns at a friends place, so no "direct" comparison ... but would not trade my 904's for Khorns Re the bass on the 904's ... very, very solid. Housekeeper knocked out my subwoofer connection weeks ago ... never heard the difference Also, a nice pair of used Cornwall's now goes for $1500-$2000. I got my 904's for $700 If wife "acceptance is a factor, I took the horns off and put them in a separate cabinet ... see my post under "Klipsch Professional KPT-904" Cheers, Emile
  18. Think that's what happened I send him a pic of the Pro logos and a couple of weeks later they "appeared." Also send a pic of the logo's with the red stripes ... maybe they'll appear later Cheers, Emile
  19. Yeah ... thought so If I would have had enough balls to walk it would have been fine, but was scooting on my a** and burned "that part" and my hands doing it And to @richieb ... yes; had guys lined up a couple of times, but no-one ever showed up ... guess $50 for a 15 minute job wasn't enough for them
  20. Best guess is 7/12 ... but felt steeper than 12/12 when I was up there
  21. And it gets worse after you hit 65 OK; I'll share a story with the "oldtimers" here. Went up on the roof today to remove some debris. Jeez; scary ... moved around inch by inch on my behind. But note ... put in seven 4x4ft skylights in my roof about 10-15 years ago ... no problem ... walked (upright) everywhere. Jeez ... not anymore Cheers, Emile
  22. For all still looking for Klipsch Professional badges/logos ... There now are some on eBay. Yes; cheap Chinese knockoffs but hopefully better than nothing Seller from Kazakhstan, shipping from China HaHaHa .... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-Professional-Logo-plastic-WHITE-72-mm-2-8-inch/152951894156?hash=item239ca4b08c:g:-DYAAOSwB1JasJ0w ... also in "silver." Cheers, Emile
  23. Sold my Marantz 1060 about a week ago on FleaBay. Museum condition and I thought is was perfect Sold it for $600 Buyer thinks it need a recap Anyone know of any techs near Miami, FL that can do this? Many thanks and cheers, Emile
  24. Hi @pzannucci. Thanks! No; did not hook up front pre-outs to my additional front amp. Hooked up zone 2 to my front amp to give me "stereo" on my front KPT904 speakers. (Works nice since zone 2 gives me full fixed power.) Hooked up the rear pre-outs to my rear amp, hoping to maintain 7.1 surround sound. Then found out the pre-outs' volume was set by the AVR and the volume going in my rear amp was way way low. So; hooked the rear amp up to the "same" zone 2 connection as the front amp. Much better sound, but "lost" 7.1 (now 5.1, of course with "double stereo"). Sound good, but don't think it's "supposed to be this way." Thanks and cheers, Emile
  25. Absolute bargain! Get them NOW! Cheers, Emile
