  1. Looks great Chuck! A switch-up is always fun. Downside with me is I'm always playin w/it all. Then you're right back where you were in the beginning going "What was I thinking?" lol
  2. I recorded a tape once on my high $ Sony deck in stereo of this dude I knew. I bought the deck just to record him. The ONLY reel I ever cherished and held close to my heart. He did it just for me and now he's gone. I went back years later to listen to it for the third time and it was a total waste. No sticky tape. More like glued together. Heartbreaking to say the least.
  3. ^^^^^^^^^ What he said! Welcome to the forum Chuck!
  4. Cat you say? TWO cats? Neither de-clawed? Mine is de-clawed and started padding the grill covers on my old Heresey's so I was going to be the smart guy and removed the covers. Yup, safe now BUT what if she starts reaching up to the bottom of the mid-horn? Nah, I'm good! NOT! NOW they've been moved sooo... FAIR WARNING! Yes, no cats were damaged unless you count hearing loss!
  5. Calling for some rain here for a day or so then warmin up thru the wkend. Time for the annual Bratwurst Festival Thurs-Sat nite. Plenty of food and the beer gardens will all be rockin. 250k in a town of 16k over 3 days? Yea, nuts... Buckle up, try to drive straight and avoid the DUI check points on the way outta town? Yup, now they do...
  6. @ClaudeJ1 Sittith at the Right Hand... I'm STILL not right! Just do it! Lawd have mercy! hahahaha
  7. @kevinmi Great meeting you and that navigator also! Your analysis is spot ON! Yea, that Richter scale didn't even come into play w/my total outta body experience! lolol Neil's system DID give you that "bang for the buck" sound I wondered about at first. I was like how's this gonna really sound? Found out real quick it was gonna sound great. Just wish I would have remembered those brats for you two. Next year come on down and bring your A game!
  8. Perhaps a get together here next year for the second largest festival in Ohio? The Bratwurst Festival is a hoot for everyone including the kids. PLENTY to do for everyone and it ALWAYS sorts itself! Most of the organizations like the Elks, Moose, etc open their lots and have bands in their Beer Gardens every evening soooo from 10 til 2AM there IS something to do. The festival usually brings in a headliner on Saturday night for everyone but the Beer Gardens? Ha, they're cookin too. We're big kids, the house is open, plenty of room and it just happens. Additionally, ya got a tour guide who can park the rides close and free. Nice new Weber here for the brats and I'm all about saving the money! Let's do it!?
  9. The visual I'm having right now... 😂 😎 I think that would have taken it to another level...
  10. Elden, yea I snickered a bit at your comment but I knew what you meant. You are the MAN in here and know waaaay too many of us! You also know this place! Ha!
  11. @Skelt Thanks for the navigation today Matt! Love it when a plan comes together! Great spending time w/you!
  12. It's been a LONG time since I've written one of these! Subject: After Action Report for the Oakland County Chapter of the Klipsch Anonymous.. First call @ Zero dark thirty SUCKED! The arrival of Skelt was timely and appreciated although his thermos of hot coffee smelled divine in comparison to my iced down HUGE mugga Diet Dr. Pepper! Arrived at the County Seat of Oakland County, ❌ichigan approx 1.5 hours prior to designated arrival time only to leave the headlights on @ a nearby McDonald's while we ate breakfast. Distress msg sent to host with no response but host was aware I had jumper cables in my vehicle. IF he sent a rescue vehicle it was not seen and is possibly still driving around in Oakland County. Arrived at @DizRotus approximately 5 minutes late after getting a jump from a kind young, Sparty hat wearing, dude who said he had spent 4 years in Columbus, Ohio. An assumption was made that he was a possible Buckeye graduate. An Ohio license plate ANYwhere in the State of ❌ichigan is totally ignored by most residents for some unknown reason. Most Buckeyes when in the State of ❌ichigan are compassionate and understanding. It should be noted that host was wearing a Sparty T-Shirt for some reason. After a cordial welcome by all involved we listened to a few tunes outside on his patio enjoying the sounds and his well-manicured estate. Lunch was served prior to going inside to listen to his main system. Sounded fantastic! Traveled to @ClaudeJ1 place w/host #1 safely. A mere folding chair on his porch was the designated smoking area which was the perfect option after about 30 minutes of listening to his system. A great spot to smoke, catch your breath, and to let your Central Nervous System un-wind! Yes, UN-WIND! Perhaps the host knew the chair would be needed. BOTH hosts were fantastic and know their Schiit! Summation: The "Buckeye" invasion was well received by all members of the group! The hosts were amazing! The other members of the chapter were cordial and time spent was refreshing! In all, one heck of a day with a group of guys I truly enjoyed spending time with. I look forward to the next meeting of the chapter and learning more about you all! Great time guys and enjoyed it more than you know! Recommendation: Eliminate ALL full-body massage requests. Subjects could lean on the interior or exterior walls of @ClaudeJ1 's residence and have the same experience. A fantastic foot massage is continuous inside. Hearing protection is recommended! Operator is SOOOO NOT RIGHT! 😂 😎
  13. Durn kids anyway! Accomplish the mission and be done with it and ALWAYS sleep on your back! My motto anyway!
  14. Thankies! Only a LIL bit left of center! hahaha
  15. Glen, I wish I would have seen this earlier today before we met @ Neil's. I would have enjoyed sitting down praying with you! Both you and your wife will be in my prayers. I heard you mention your knee surgery and saw the scar, which looked great, on your right knee and never knew you just had your left one done. That moon walk at Claude's you did was ahhhmazing! Was that really you or just the good vibrations from that kick butt system??? 😂 😎 Your son is a great guy too! The pleasure was mine! Truly enjoyed the day with everyone!
  16. I had so many thoughts I can't even remember what I played on my LS... lol
  17. Congrats and enjoy them. That trip would have killed me! The "full Jube experience" you speak of? Reminds me of a great LP for that first play... "Are you Experienced" by Jimi? What's it gonna be @Delicious2??
  18. Grindin makin vinyl dust last evening turning (or trying to turn) the youngest daughter on to some "real moosic." Maybe , just maybe... 1974 Todd Rundgren's move into progressive rock with his first LP "Utopia." Typically Rundgren, he tried to put 10#'s into a 5# bag by compressing an hour's worth of work into one lp It worked for the most part but critics thought it could have been better. Just another day in his life! Nice play though! If you're into John Lennon and 50-60's rock n roll covers this is the album for you! After a year long production the LP was finally released in '75 and was his last until 1980. Lennon sounds great and yup, you'll be stompin your foot. Ha! How about a lil HARD rock w/some moosic from the Scottish group Nazareth. The groups 6th LP released in 1975 sold 2 million copies in a heart beat! More cowbell/wood block anyone??? Their first "HIT" Lp is STILL killin it imo. Great listen soooo thar ya go! Crank side one!!! Berkeley, California, 1969, the New Orleans House completely ROCKED, Jefferson Airplane and these guys made sure of that. A form of relaxation? Yea, ok but they took it even further with this live recording finally released in 1970. Somethang blusey, yet rockie and rollie, toss in some psychedelic, a bag of pot, a fiddle, the eye of a newt and the wing of a bat and whacha got? Hot Tuna! Crank it and let it go! Problem solved! The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys is the fifth studio album by English rock band Traffic, released in 1971. As with other Traffic albums, The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys featured different forms and offshoots of rock including jazz rock, progressive rock, as well as classic rock and roll. One great album! Supertramp's 1979 release "Breakfast In America" was followed in 1982 by "famous last words..." the groups 7th release. It was to be the last of the last for the original lineup with Roger Hodgson on guitar, etc. Great LP! .
