  1. You’ll need to remove horns and woofer to remove it. Pry out gently at bottom while pushing up for clearance.
  2. The connection is soldered inside be prepared.
  3. Maybe to you. Not sure I’d use it for music, but home theatre with my wooden floors it’s great. Much better than the front firing subs I’ve used previously.
  4. Has any debris entered the driver? Any corrosion?
  5. That’s part of my problem too. Cats. I have to build out of a sealable container or they’d be everywhere. Luckily they haven’t crashed any built sets.
  6. My mother filled a huge trash can with them and put them in the attic. Now they are in my storage room. I’d love to display my old space sets, and I’ve collected many more vintage collections from “moms” that didn’t stash them away as well. No room to display everything. Maybe between Audio and Lego I’ll retire one day.
  7. Me me me! I have a few years on ya and still have my childhood LEGOs as well as many newer sets. There’s a Star Destroyer and an ATAT on top of my entertainment rack. I have the Trench Run diorama too. It’s among others I’m yet to assemble.
  8. I’ve had lesser Tannoys and they were quite good, but they weren’t for me. I see larger ones come up rarely near me, so maybe one day the right pair will come along. Can’t foresee them replacing LaScalas though.
  9. Are they really that good? I’ve not had the opportunity.
  10. Or telling me what they’re worth even…. Hehe
  11. Interesting thoughts. I too have seen loose connections in “virgin” Heresy I. As for the copper/aluminum wiring…. Dangerous stuff for sure.
  12. Loosen and retighten everything, but it’s been said.
  13. I will not buy another Sony. I’ve had 2 to die in under 5 years. Now using Marantz.
  14. Welcome! I’ve had some kg4 and rather enjoyed them. You’ll have to work with placement due to the rear passive. As for amplifiers it’s hard to say “any”, but any “good” 2 channel amp 60 watts or better. Think Denon or Yamaha. I prefer vintage offerings. Enjoy!
  15. I’ve brought home Polk SDA SRS, La Scala, and others in my Element. People are always surprised. Seeing those khorns in the Caravan got me wondering.
  16. Maybe to reduce grille rattle/vibration? Does indeed raise questions.
  17. Probably just your ears adjusting to it.
  18. I think it’s 5 posts/replies before PM/DM works. You’re almost there.
