Hifi jim
Blue Circle has a good reputation for making quality amps and preamps, but their new BC301FY has got to be the ugliest preamp ever devised and with a price of $4500 I can't help but wonder how much it would have cost to make it pretty. http://www.bluecircle.com/index.php?page_id=9573
Daddy Dee
http://www.bluecircle.com/index.php?page_id=9573 Jim, Thanks for the link. Wow. That is a funny looking piece of gear. Perhaps it would be unlikely to be stolen by burglars. They wouldn't know it was a preamp.

Islander
I think it's more unusual-looking than ugly, but if you think that preamp is funky-looking, check out their DAC. It's called the USB Thingee and seems to be a piece of plastic pipe with some connectors embedded in a lot of silicone seal: http://www.bluecircle.com/index.php?menu_id=5002 The company is reputed to make some good gear, and the USB Thingee got a good review in UHF, a Canadian audio magazine. ZAKO
My dog would bury that ugly bone in the back yard. With the K402 WortHog horn...
kelA
Simplicity Artistry Music is their tagline. Since I have never heard any of their gear, I can honestly say that 1/3 of the phrase is true. Simplicity.
colterphoto1
I'm sure all the silicone curing is surely environmental [+o(]

Hifi jim
La Scalas ain't exactly pretty....but they sound pretty good. I thought we LISTENED to music. Sure, but at $4500 I don't want the preamp equivalent of Susan Boyle.
