Chris A
And here you go guys. I still have some wiring to do for video, but I do have the music up and cranking. Unbelievable is all I can say. K2 running the bass bins and Mac MC402 running the tads. Tads hitting 4 watts and god knows how many watts hitting the bass bins. It caves the chest is all I can say. The TADs will take a little time to break in - probably a few days.I recommend toeing them in if you can then listening from your prime listening spot. In fact, I recommend using a string to measure the distance from each flange of the K-402 to your listening position, or look closely at the throat tube to see if the TADs are pointed directly at you. I'd also recommend pointing them down just enough to point directly at your listening spot using the 4-bar mechanism slider and scale of the K-402. The imaging is incredible when you do. Make sure that you pull the back out on the outside of the Jubs, i.e., don't push the inside of the cabinets toward the back wall after toeing them in - this might affect imaging due to reflections off the front wall electronics gear and rack. Moderators dtel Posted March 30, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 30, 2011 And the good news is my better half likes this setup better than what I had before and she hasn't had time to listen to them yet. Now that's good news, she will love them when she hears her favorite music on them . [Y] Good choice in better half's.

ntcrusher
Dtel, thank you very much. I think so too! Mike, thanks again! When I saw the boxes at the terminal, I said "that isn't mine" I thought they would have been a smidgen smaller than what they are. Big boxes and Huge sound! LarryC
So when's the party? I'm ready for a Richmond trip! If this comes off, I'll need a recommendation for where to stay. Got a DVD player tied into your setup?
ntcrusher
There are a few good places around here of where to stay. Yepper, I have a blu ray player in the mix. Just got done watching star trek on blu ray. Amazing! Let me know who wants to come and I can get some details of where to stay near my house. PrestonTom
That looks like a very, very nice set up! I am always happy to see Jubilees go to a good home where they will be loved and cared for. Enjoy and good luck, -Tom
LarryC
Just got done watching star trek on blu ray. Will an ordinary DG DVD of the Dvorák New World work?
wuzzzer
They look incredible! Too bad they didn't arrive while my wife and I were in VA last week - I would have loved to have a listen!
ntcrusher
Tom, thanks for the compliment sir. Larry, that DVD will work and Wuzzer, yea, I wish they would have arrived too! Again, it was a long journey but when you ever come back to VA, stop by and have a listen. That invite goes to anyone on this forum that would like to hear them. tragusa3
Enjoyed the thread! Congrats. I particularly relate to your comments about them being 4 to 5 times the performance of the LaScalas. I can't imagine....
ntcrusher
It's definitely scary tragusa3. I thought I read on here that someone had a 7.1 surround system with 7 jubes. I couldn't imagine that. Sounds like some sort of punishment to make someone talk. []
Moderators dtel Posted March 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2011 What I liked about them was how BIG they sound, the sound does not sound like it coming from a horn more like from an area, it just fills the room. [Y]
LarryC
That invite goes to anyone on this forum that would like to hear them. So, are you scheduling a gathering? Thanks Larry
Ironsave
NT, I just caught this thread. Your Jubilees are gorgeous...... (So is the LS center). I am most envious...... Beautiful set up...... [Y][Y][Y] I know it sounds amazing..... Congrats man!
ntcrusher
Larry, I can do it anytime actually. I work from home so I can have the gathering anytime a group would like to come and partake of this amazing sound. The DAC connected to the Sonos system really provides an awesome sound. Those that have jubilee's, what size speaker wire did you run to the HF? Ironsave, thanks bro!
LarryC
Thanks. Maybe the group needs to be scheduled. Larry
