larbo13
What are the best bluray movies for surround sound. I mean where things are flying around your head, coming from left to right. Something that really gives your systems a good workout. Kick *** was pretty good and done in 7.1 to boot. And an older one that i recently saw was Doomsday. So let know if you guys have some good ones.

Moderators Youthman Posted March 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2011 [Y][Y] for Inception and Book of Eli. Really great sound in both.
todzilla
Live Free or Die Hard is great. Rambo (the last one) has great LFE I second the motion on Inception and Dark Knight. Toy Story 3 and Monsters vs Aliens are really good too, especially with the kids.
todzilla
Anyone see Lord of the Rings on bluray ? Worth buying or just rent it. Wait for the Extended additions to buy. Worth a rental though.
Dysmae
Lord of the Rings has awesome audio on bluray, but I would wait for the extended due this year for a purchase. I bought them on bluray, and The Fellowship of the Ring looks like mud on bluray. They are remastering it for the extended edition. Saving Private Ryan sounds amazing on bluray. How to Train Your Dragon is another great sounding movie. Inception gets the crown from me though.

sunburnwilly
The Incredibles comes out on 4/12 , decent review from AVS forums . http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1325665
jjennings2510
Ninja Assassin is good. I really like that movie and Master and Commander because those movies both have effects that go from left to right, front to back etc and surround you and the LFE tracks are great too but they also prove how subtle your system can be. Both movies have those subtle effects and then WHAM your system springs to life on a dime and its total chaos all around you. The other movies on the list sorta give you that nonstop action which I love too of course. Black Hawk Down on Blu Ray is amazing. I had it on DVD but the HD sound is worth checking out again!
