Will Klipsch ever make their speakers more stylish?

Looking at KEF, JBL, and some other brands, Klipsch doesn't have that "flashy" and attractive look. Frown.gif

I really like those speakers that look nice and attractive. Imagine, great sounding Klipsch in a great looking speaker "casing" would kick BOOTY!

Do you think the next Reference Series (or any other series) will change their look?

Well I figure if Klipsch goes with a more flashy wacked out design then your talking big bucks to pay for the redesign etc so I hope they don't travel down that road but I'd like to them offer a better selection of finishes for the Heritage heck even the Reference series, Like Birds Eye Maple..

I've tossed around the thought of recabineting (is that a word?) my KLF's and C7 but I'm sure that's not as easy as it sounds.

Hey people,

Don't get me wrong here. I am not saying Klipsch speakers look bad, all I am saying that they are not as "flashy" as other speakers. Actually, I think the current Reference Series design suits Klipsch: clean and simple. Smile.gif

I love the way my Fortes look. Sometimes, if the family is watching something less than interesting on the tube, my eyes wander to where they have sat for so many years, and I fall in love all over again.

Man, am I glad my wife doesn't look at this forum...

You gotta be kidding me

Where would you put the horn(s) in a funky shaped cabinet -- at the bottom?

klipguy- I agree. The KSP-400's are quite stylish (and good sounding). I love mine. I'm curious, though, about a couple of things. Why do you need the separate subs? Also, in my opinion, you should get a KSP-C6 to replace the RC-7. The C6 is an exact match for the 400's, and come up on Ebay with regularity. Of course, if you're happy with the set-up, that's all that matters.

What's stylish today, isn't stylish tomorrow. Chrome and glitter do nothing to add to the FUNCTION of a speaker. For me, I tend to stick with classic real wood veneers...and cabinets of speakers that mate well with fine furniture...especially since they are NEVER truly out of style...that is why they are called "classic"!! Smile.gif

Besides, I have never heard any listening benefit from chrome and glitter!!

Frank Lloyd Wright said it best: "Form follows function!!"

MOST interior decorators are the biggest jokes to ever come along...what a con game!! Just show MOST interior decorators a pic of a k-horn and listen to them rant and rave about how it just won't fit into a proper decor of today...and ten years from the time you hear that, do it again...and listen to the change in their response!! They will use terms like the above quote from Wright, but seldom ever actually practice it!!

That reminds me of some of these PATHETIC home decorating shows on tv now. Take a perfectly fine house or room and destroy it. Then pretend you like it.

Man, I'm GLAD I'm "old fashioned"!!!!!
