What kind is it?????!!!!!

I bet it's Poulan ?

I only say this because Roy was telling me about one someone invented and sold to Poulan when he worked for them that was by far the best as far as loading and feeding out line without tangling.

Burt he may have sold it to someone else also?

Exactly.  It's like calling a circular saw a Skill Saw or a bandage a Band Aid.  Those are Channel Locks!  I would have even accepted water pump pliers.

I've had an Echo for the last couple years ever since I wore out my 4 stroke Ryobe.  I love the line load.  Just cut off 10 or 12 ft of string and pull one end half way through the head.  All you then is just wind the head and you're done.  None of the loading the trimmer spool and trying to get the ends through the little holes without unraveling.

Its a Honda 4 stroke. But the new head is an Echo just like yours. Last time I bought a new head these were not yet available or they would have sold me one then. The guys at the Ag store are definitely on top of this sheet. I live in an avocado/citrus/grape(wine) growing region.

Actually "Channel Lock" is a brand name just like "Band Aid", Arc Joint pliers is what they are.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tongue-and-groove_pliers

That was my point, most people call them the brand name as opposed to the actual name so much so that the actual name is seldom used.

Love it.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that the head on the Echo spins opposite of every other string trimmer that I've ever used.  Looking down from the top most spin clock wise, mine goes counter clock wise.  Took some getting used to but it's fast to start and has been flawless since I've had it.

Thank you, in this age of complete and utter nonsense in most of the social and political world, I aspire to be the worst possible poster on the internet that I can possibly be.

I remember it getting to about 36 at night, 117 in the day; also remember knee deep snow.

In the same 24 hr. period?

You're doing a great job at it, but I would contend that there are at least 2 maybe 3 worse than you (on this forum alone)! Keep trying!

Hey Eric I don't know why Carl still picks on you.  I have tried everything to get him to stop.  I've sent him money, whisky, and an old pair of my flip flops.......

You know I'm holding out for the toaster.

I've been beating Otto every day with the flip flops.  He now has your scent and can't wait to meet you.
