LF's MIL had the brain tumor removed yesterday at Duke.  She will have a plastic dome replacing the skull that was lost due to surgery.  She is already up on her feet and feeling fine.  Tough 82 year old!

While I moan about a bad back..... amazing lady!

Good looking puppy RX, more pictures later.

Good to hear the LF's MIL made it through the surgery, at 82 she is doing great.

When I was little (yes, a looooong time ago) an older lady down the street would cook down maple syrup and when we had a fresh snow she'd scoop some clean snow, pour the thickened syrup over it and give it to us for a treat.  Now days, I'd be afraid to do that with the acid rain we have.  Who knows, maybe it was bad then but it sure was good.

These days, there could be more to worry about than acid rain.

And trying out some ribs in our new smoker. I've never done this before, so keeping it simple; lemon pepper and apple wood chips. 175 or so for three hours.

@Wardsweb I'll have to get after my postal carrier.  They seem to have lost my invitation...................again.

Well if you head out this afternoon, you can still make it no problem. Don't forget your gloves.

About 20 people. I just picked up 10 pounds of Alaskan King Crab legs, 22 lobster tails and 5 pounds of shrimp.

No issue being the help as anyone who's been to a recent gathering in Hope can attest to. Plus you eat good.

What's the occasion? Or just why not?

I turn 60 tomorrow. I've never been into birthday parties but decided to go big for my 60th.
