Kent T
Hello all Klipsch fans, I am Kent T, from Athens, TN. I am an avid audiophile for over 40 years. I am new to the Klipsch experience, don't own a pair yet. (I have a pair of Chorus II on loan). I am using a McIntosh MA 5100 integrated amp to drive them with. And very much love Klipsch's sonics and have used them in broadcast station control rooms as an operator and engineer. Which speakers are best suited to small sized rooms in Klipsch? Which is your favorite Klipsch speaker? I really enjoy reading this forum, and have lurked here several months. Thanks!
The History Kid
Welcome Kent! Can't really go too wrong Klipsch-style. A lot of different members tend to have very different tastes in sound, so what may be best for you could be different from others. Most will tend to recommend Reference series speakers in small spaces though, from my understanding. I'm sure others will chime in. Have fun!
Kent T
Will consider Reference. I am leaning towards the Heresy in my living room. I listen to most every kind of music, am an avid vinylphile. I also like the Chorus II and the Forte line a lot.
Sancho Panza
Welcome Home, Kent. Buy the Chorus II? Or, Heresy, or my favorite, the La Scala, as long as you & them can fit in the room at the same time.
Kent T
If the Chorus II in my living room get offered to me, yes, they'll stay.
ryanm84
I have KG4 in my room now. Nice speakers that don't take up tons of space. Not really a competitor to the Chorus II but still a good speaker. Came in oak and walnut too so you can get a real wood veneer if that is something you would like.
Ski Bum
Small room? Forte II, or Heresy w/ subs.
John Chi-town
Audition the forte II. They dig a little deeper than a Chorus II and although others may disagree a forte II can fufill the same room size as a Chorus II. I bought mine new in 92 and they still put a smile on my face. Schu
how small of a room is "small"? how far is the LP from the speaker placement going to be? fav's would be the Cornwall for boom or the La Scala for all around.
billybob
You are on the right path, in my limited experience. Wecome and dig it!
derrickdj1
It sound like you like the Heritage style sound so, my vote is for Heresey, Chorus, or Forte II. Welcome to the forum Kent.

CF3 or CF4. they respond well to upgrades and mods. I also have a liking for KLF20 woofers which I run two way with a Karlson K-Tube made of a paper roll and an EV DH1A with a set of CF3 networks. I much prefer CF3/4 with driver configuration like a KG 5.5 WWT with the horn or K-tube at your seated ear level. Good to have you here. Best regards Moray James. mattSER
My favorites would be the Legend series and Reference, but for small rooms and vinyl, I would go with Forte II or LaScala.

Kent T
Yes, I have decided Heritage or Forte or Chorus are my style. Alternatively KG4 or higher. Those are the ideal generations for me. And I am leaning Heresy, Cornwall, or Chorus.
John Chi-town
The Heresy will require that you add a subwoofer into the equation. IMO Very poor bass response without a sub. The Heresy is a great speaker dont get me wrong, but like anything in this world it has its limitations. Best regards, John
Kent T
CornScalas I also have as an option as well. I could build some if need be. Maybe I could find donor cabinets. And do some Crites style upgrades on them. Edited August 10, 2014 by Kent T
ChuckAb3
Welcome, Kent. Doesn't look like you need too much advice. My preference would be whatever you like best in the Heritage line for vinyl and other 2 ch listening.
