wvu80
You guys are all nuts. I also live in the country, and the only one I want to annoy with my loud music is my wife! But I'd be happy to come and visit you in your K-neighborhood, in K-town. +++ Edit: BTW, it's about 6:30p on Turkey Day. Am I the only one beside the Turkey who's stuffed? Thaddeus Smith
Wife is working today, so my folks and sister+BIL came over for a simple brunch and time with my girls. Easy prep, very little cleanup, and satisfying family time. Tomorrow is time with my wife's family and it'll be a little more "traditional".
Coytee
We made out like bandits. Neighbor asked us over. The wife (his) is a real wiz in the kitchen and everyone brought a little something. Had about 15 people there. I got to go over....yack with the guys....yack with the gals....yack with the wife.... eat.... and leave. All the women were busy as bee's cleaning the place up. I tried to help and kept getting the stuff yanked out of my hands.

K5SS
I would LOVE to hear some of your systems! I am afraid that my house wouldn't be the main gathering area but then again, I have no kids or a wife to deal with if we get a little out of control:)
Bryant0086
I would LOVE to hear some of your systems! I am afraid that my house wouldn't be the main gathering area but then again, I have no kids or a wife to deal with if we get a little out of control:) My system is dying to be cranked. I DO have a wife and a couple of kids, so my system doesn't get the exercise she needs too much. That would mean I have neighbors. No thanks BUT, you can get a taste of that atmosphere at the Hope gathering in April!! Ditto. I live in the sticks on five acres and can see one neighbor from my front deck. Until us uncool kids with the lower level Klipsch lines get picked on by the "jock" Klipsch guys, lol. Or until the drunks like me start blaring death metal, at 3 in the morning. Well, don't do the growling vocals, but I can do thrash........ ^___^ Marie Osmond sounds, anywhere you turn or, try to hide. I think that's against the Klipschood's HOA bylaws. Bieber too. And no country on my cul-de-sac. Happy Turkey Day everyone! Don't make me play you "I Like Beer" at PPUSA, now. Ha ha ha. I don't do much country either, but there is a song here and there I like...... especially folk music disguised as country, like John Denver. ratcobob
No neighbors is excellent. I get to play it as loud as the cattle want it to be herd. They seem to appreciate udder flutter.

I DO have a wife and a couple of kids, so my system doesn't get the exercise she needs too much. All 4 of my children love it when I turn the Klipsch up. The girls dance and sing and my son thoroughly enjoys his RF-7 / RC-64ii in his bedroom for gaming and dubstep. My wife does not enjoy loud music so I just send her out shopping or to get a pedicure when I want to crank them up.
gary p
Klipschtopia. I'm in. My neighbors never complain. Kinda disappointed. On my days off. Neighbors work. Their kids are in school. All bets are off. Let the dogs out back and chorus 2s earn their keep. My therapy.
derrickdj1
I have yet to piss off any neighbors even at reference. The wife is another topic, lol. I might have to see what this dubstep thing is about, lol.

Thaddeus Smith
Yesterday I went outside and shot some clay with relatives that were visiting from Iowa. Can I do that in Klipschville?
Moderators Youthman Posted November 30, 2014 Moderators Share Posted November 30, 2014 Sure you can Thaddeus. I'm sure with all of our systems, there will always be someone playing a movie with gunfire. Shouldn't sound any different to what we are already hearing. MORE KLIPSCH PLEASE
Years ago I pissed of my neighbor.....well kinda.... So it went down like this....one Saturday night I got freakie with the system....I hooked up my LaScala's to one of my Adcom 555II, one set of Chorus to my Carver TFM55x , my ChorusII's to my Carver cubes bridged (that's 500 watts each) and to top it off... I powerd up all four of my subs....two 15" and two 12"......yea I know this is dumb crap....but "watt" the hell... I was playing some hard hittin bass stuff.....man it was crazy.....on the really heavy bass the lights in the house were dimming. Well it was around 12:30 pm and between tracks I heard the pounding on the front door......oh no is it the cops? I quickly hit the pause on the CD player. Opening the front door my neighbor was standing in her robe, she said "hi" and asked me would you please turn the music down I'm trying to sleep. She was a older lady really nice. I told her I am really sorry and will turn off the music. Now her house is about 30+ feet away from my house and we live on a main road with a good bit of traffic. I have walked around my house with the music pumping just to check it out. When I walked away from the house I really didn't hear it. Well anyway I went to her house the next day to apologize for the loud music. I told her I didn't know she could her it over her house. She told me she can always hear my music but it does not bother her. Now she said she does not go to bed early. But last night she was in bed by 12:00 and when she was laying there she could feel the "bump bump" of the music. Again I told her how sorry I was. We agreed I would shut my system down no later than 12:00 on the weekends. So that's my pissing off the neighbor story..... :-)
Scrappydue
Yesterday I went outside and shot some clay with relatives that were visiting from Iowa. Can I do that in Klipschville?hell yes my backyard too! About my favorite kind of shooting. Unless we are shooting high caliber rifles at things that explode. That's pretty fun too. It is simply that MY perception of loud and my wife's and kid's perception of loud aren't on the same page. We do have some fun with it.
