Now think of the incentive for revolution by the populace given that the stakes would already be taken to life or death by the controllers of these things. Right now people have too much to lose to call for serious change. With this elevation more basic things (like life in lieu of freedom) become far more important, creating way more potential for critical mass. The hacker put photos of themselves on the display monitor, did a few other cute things, then disabled the transmission. they talk over my head; but, apparently hacking is pretty easy for these guys.
