Multi cell Altec horn. Supposedly some of the best sounding horns. Typically bring big bucks. However for the collectors price that they normally bring. I i would rather spend my money on newer technology. Good price for these and would be worth it.

Im glad someone knew some ACTUAL info on these, I, personally, was going to have to say. " A whole sh#@tload of speakers for 100.00"! At 7ft tall I don't know exactly where I would put them, I could for sure rock out my two car garage :)

+1

I scored one VOTT with the original drivers. I was surprised at what they bring on the bay.

I see it pays to spell Altec, "Altech" in the search  :P

I just search "speakers" and sort through, sometimes I'll put actual names. Like you said you never know how someone is going to spell something . I've seen many "clips" speakers, maybe it's just that darn dictate texting and left uncorrected .

I have a nice pair of Altec 1003B multi-cell horns (2 rows of 5 cells per row) with 288K drivers for my outdoor music system.

In the chart that I have included, the “Horn Model Number” indicates the number of cells and the horn cutoff frequency.  For example, the 1505B = a 15 cell horn (3 rows of 5 cells per row) with a cutoff frequency of 500 Hz.

The “Sound Pressure Level” is interesting since Altec gave measurements at 30 feet and 100 feet with full rated power applied to each driver over a frequency response range of 600 Hz to 2,400 Hz (note column “b” indicates horn configurations with one driver, two drivers or even four drivers for certain horns).

Full power rating for the drivers listed in the chart:

288 = 40 watts

290 = 100 watts

730 = 75 watts

It looks like they are marked sold and given the number of rows and cells per row, the horn looks like the 1505B.

Come on guys, Tim knew exactly what he had. He enjoys playing mind games with the masses, who rush to fleece the rube.

I didn't realize that it was the Tim gentleman again, he DEFINITELY knows what he has, I guess he just wanted to move them.

Very knowledgeable, of course when it comes to specs he had to dumb down his layman's terms for me .

Or he knew that he would get someone to that layer of his, that warehouse full of goodies that he knows no one will be able to leave without making additional purchases.

Carl, just found 3 more bottles of the Cutler's Vodka that I brought to Hope....I'm putting them back for next year, unless you weren't all that impressed with it.   in that case, down the hatch!!  Believe me, you won't hurt my feelings if you thought it was just OK....
