My employee buying program(Perks at Work) does not have a partnership with any other TV mfr. than Samsung. I am limited to Samsung if I want any of these crazy good deals. wvu80
I was at Sams Club today. Sams doesn't carry every model, but usually what they have is what you want, and they seem to really nail certain price points. Generalizing, this is what caught my eye: 75" - $2k I think Vizio M series 70" - $1700 65" - $1K Mostly Samsung and Vizio No 3d units, no curved. This is a snapshot impression only. tigerwoodKhorns
I went through the brain damages of this last year. I wound up buying two Samsung UNJS 8500's (a 65 and a 55) and a UNJS7000 (50"). The 8500 has a much nicer interface. I love them. I'd go for the 9000, but if the 8000 is anywhere near as nice as the 8500's from last year, I do not think that I could pass it up for $1079. Anyone looking for a TV, I bought the two 8500 as BF deals through authorized dealers on ebay. Two different dealers, the 65" popped up and I bought it then a few hours later the 55" popped up. They each sold out in a few hours so do your homework ahead of time so that you know what a good deal is and can jump on it. I bought the 7000 through Frys, and I offered to buy two additional 8500's from them at the same time as a "package deal" for a total price that I offered and they said no. I wound up getting them for less on Black Friday so I was really happy.

Scrappydue
im wanting to get a new tv for the living room. so many choices. part of me says I'm not a video while just get a big ol 70" vizio and be done with it. other part of me says this kuro ruined me and everything isn't gonna be up to par without going OLED. and i aint dropping that kind of coin. Heritage_Head
I was a big xbr guy. Ran one after another of those. Not a kuro but still a really nice tv. Anyways... I was kinda thinking same thing going with a lower grade much bigger screen. Would I hate it? Fast forward not at all. Would do it 100x out of 100. Going 52" xbr to 70 sharp (2nd lowest model 70). Really nice upgrade. Little tweaking to what you like and I dare say these tv today at even its lowest still look really good considering. Bill Just tell her you are running to the store for a loaf of bread and come with the TV. It will confuse her and she won't know what to say.
