I can never get over the attitude of WWII vets and how matter of fact they describe the war. They will interview some senior citizen in front of an old WWII bomber and they guy will be so deadpan saying things like, "Yeah I was 17 and lied about my age to serve, we flew sorties over Germany and I was a tail gunner, had 3 fingers blown off on the fourth mission but just taped it up so I could fly more..."
