Dave1291
One more in an entirely different direction. Mark Knopfler's "Tracker" album. He always goes for the knock-out, not a TKO, at some point. 3
Dave1291
Got lucky and found a handful of signed stuff. Don't think I've ever played this lp until today. Sounds amazing! What HASN'T Alan Parsons done? DSOTM and golden there after. Sooooo good though. He's got the ideas for that midas touch of his every time he sits down a the board. 2
Dave1291
Talk about a new twist at the perfect time back in the day! The Doobie Brothers just hammered everything and the ole bass man Jeff Baxter is STILL ridin high. More studio time now than ever before I'm sure. AKA Skunk or Beard he is total chill and cool to this day. He never waivered then and sits right there w/Walsh and others the same way today. Just pluckin from the heart. "Stampede" is one amazing bass run start to finish. He just shreds for a bass man. WILD! This one's from 1975, never played and signed by da Skunk! This place is ROCKIN! If ya don't have it ya better find it OR throw it on and prove me wrong! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did if ya listened somehow. The days. 2
Dave1291
That album is funny. I'm sitting here on auto-pilot jammin and thinking about how the Doobie Brothers were just the perfect shot in the arm during that time in history. The entire world was moving at warp 3 and didn't even know it. Pickers, grinners, blues, Elvis, Motown, the British Invasion, Nam and those darn flower children! Dylan, Walsh, Janis, Allmans, and so darn many others ALL in the span of 30 years. Yup! The Doobie Brothers just fit the picture in EVERY way, throw some Top in there and it was ANOTHER ball game. Just crazy w/a big chunk of goodness tossed into every mix. Makes ya wonder what the next generation will remember. HEY! YOU KIDS GET OUTTA MY YARD!!!

GWSmith
Very good play Paul. I also like the overhead spot type lighting too ! Ok, here we go. BLUES TIME ! This album was a PRE-order back in 2012. Double LP/gatefold. I believe this was nearly the last recording before Walter had liver troubles and eventually a successful transplant for which he is able to still tour to this day! So here we go............music to clean your house by and front cover art.
