Steve.
I just re-lamped and cleaned up a friends McIntosh C26. It was his Dads and he had no idea really what it was.....So of course I had to put it in a system while I had it..... Sounded pretty good .....I was surprised how good. I gave him a pair of speakers and and a small 60 watt amp and she lives again.
seti
Not a traditional preamp but I am using an autoformer volume control using Intact Audio autoformers. DIY..... Next preamp will be a DIY 112A preamp as some of my digital sources need some gain.
thebes
The simply stellar Nosvalves NBS in the mains system and an Anthem Pre1 in the secondary. Craig killed with the NBS. Doubt I'd ever go anywhere else "up the ladder" in a preamp, cause I doubt I could climb higher.

Steve.
GFP 750 wasn't that a John Curl or Nelson Pass design?
