BigBusa
mobilehomeless I didn't offer them to the board 1st because I didn't have a price in mind for them. If a board member wants them they can certainly bid on them on ebay. I;d love to see them go to a board member but I'd also love to see them sell for what the current market will bring. Ebay will be the judge of that ...not me. I started the auction at $9 and did not put a reserve on it. Is that fair enough? I'm amazed at how nasty some of you people get when someone decides to try a different speaker other than what you own. I didn't say the CWs were crap. I said I'm ready for a change and these hecos are it. Why does that bother you so much? If you owned hecos instead of CWs would you guys be being such A-holes because I'm selling my CWs??? You should be thanking me because these are probably gonna sell for more than any CWs ever have on ebay ...making yours worth more in the long run. We kind of think of each other as family and offer help and gear sales to those in need. That's the point everyone is trying to make. We all know what the going rate is for cornwalls. That's not a great excuse but good luck anyway.

Deang
What's the matter, 600 watts didn't drop your jaw with the Cornwalls? Imagine that. Forward Air is excellent, but it only takes one slip with the forklift. Is it too late to pull the eBay ad?

Chris ---------------- Chris, That sounds like a great idea! I'm jealous- I am a HUGE Giants fan, and have only been to one game this year. Pac Bell is a great yard. Friday-Sunday I will be up at Lake Tahoe, so do not invite me to the game, as I will not be able to break my prior engagement. I am glad you enjoy my posts. I guess I will keep it up. fini
Frzninvt
What a crime, I am only 3 hours away from Albany, and could have picked them up myself saving any shipping hassles. Pretty lame excuse as to why you did not offer them to the forum folks first before posting them on eBay. This is a community after all, and the community folks help each other. I feel that it is only just that the Cornwall vault be used within the community as that is what DeanG intended when he passed it on. He incurred a good amount of money in the creation of the vault and should certainly have the last say on how it is utilized. I see that you are already doing quite well on your auction at $709 considering there is nothing special about those Cornwalls. Resulting to name calling because you are not getting your way is pretty childish by the way and will certainly get you know where with the folks on this forum. Why are you being such a prick? You don't have anything better to do than worry about me selling my cornwalls? ---------------- I'm as relaxed as Mission speakers. I'm merely reacting to your rank commercialism (this from a more-than-full-time retail manager). Seems to me your sole intent, D0N, is to advertise your eBay auctions on web boards. It's been pointed out in the past, and continues to hold true, in my eyes at least. You are entitled to fair market value for your speakers, of course. You are NOT entitled to use of this board, in my opinion (I'm not the boss here, obviously), as crass advertisement. I sincerely hope that no one from the forum bids on them (I may be relaxed, but I've got a heck of a memory, & I'm a vindictive SOB!). BigBusa
Bclarke I AM entitled to use this board since I've been a member for four or more years. I've seen 100's of "klipsch for sale" on this forum in the past and currently yet you think I am not allowed to mention that mine are on ebay? Get real. I own heresys, cornwalls, klf-c7 and a ksw-15. I recently sold the heresys (EBAY) and now the cornwalls are going. I've bought more klipsch speakers and have been more dedicated to the brand than anyone I know personally. If you've got a good memory and are vindictive what the heck did I ever do to you? As for "shipping hassles" there are none. Packing them properly on a pallet and taking them to fwdair in my truck is a minor inconvinience that I will be paid $50 for. These 23 year old cornwalls are in fact special. They are near mint. Check em out. Show me another pair of for sale on ebay that look and sound as nice.
synthfreek
You're SO dedicated that you've already ditched your Heresy speakers AND now your Cornwalls???!!! The "For Sale" posts listed here usually AREN'T links to their eBay auctions but offers straight to the board members. How can we possibly show you another pair on eBay that sound better? Can I hear what YOUR Cornwalls sound like through eBay's site?
Deang
They are really nice looking, but it would have been nice to come here first with them. Mine were very nice too, and Dave Heckert paid a premium for them. I'll be surprised if yours sell for as much mine did. My point is -- someone here probably would have paid a fair price for them. Whether you know it or not, you've kind of insulted everyone here by inferring we're all a bunch of cheapskates.
Frzninvt
A member for four or more years? You can't count very well, look under your handle/moniker and you will see that you have been a member for almost two years! Yes your Cornwalls are very nice, and you provided excellent photo's. Enjoy your German made midrange and treble reproducers, aren't you missing a section to them, the one that will provide the bass notes. BigBusa
There's a 13" woofer and an 8" mid bass. The bigger woofers are in fact in the shop awaiting dust cap replacements but they won't be there forever. dean I never said anyone here was a cheapskate. You're hearing what you want to hear if that's what you think I said. I said ...I want to sell my CWs for their high market value ...aka ...for as much as possible. How can I do that if I set a price on them myself? I didn't say members here couldn't afford them. I'm curious what you sold yours for? To infer in public that mine probably won't sell for as much yours did and not say how much yours sold for is kind of one sided isn't it? I've seen it over at AA, and I hardly ever even lurk there. You start a thread with a thinly veiled intent of increasing exposure for your eBay auctions. Multiple screen names are part of the game over there, I noticed as well. You display a complete lack of respect for the rest of the world, as far as I can tell. Hence my complete lack of respect for you. A little home-made karma, I suppose. My statement regarding my memory and vindictiveness, while perhaps rash and ill-advised, remains true and didn't imply that you had ever done anything to me. Vindictiveness does not equal vengefulness.
