White01L
I was ging to bid, but these got a little over my budget. Haven't seen heresy's go this high. What's so special about this pair? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3091514809&category=61378&sspagename=STRK%3AMEBWA%3AIT&rd=
TBrennan
Damned if I know. The blonde grilles are nice. If I was gonna go high on Heresys it would be for old ones with "fan" badges and EV woofers. Not that I think that's actually better. Just cooler. To me.
Johnny TN
nothing really..HWO is nice..but approaching 750 +.. hey good ole zero bidder leading the way...
mandi
holy moly why are these selling for twice as much as others, you could buy a new pair for that. Is the buyer nuts?
lshannon
Actually Heresy IIs are about $1,098.00 pair or so I believe. But these look like the earlier Heresy model.
Marvel
New ones are over $1100. Of course you probably wouldn't have to pay that for a new pair. Marvel
White01L
Finished at $737.67.
moondawg
Unreal! First the Academy frenzy, now Heresy... I would have paid a premium price for that pair to finsh out my all Heresy HT, but $737?? Plus shipping?? Plus a premium for packaging?? I guess some people still do smoke that stuff!! Mike
JohnA
They are the ultimate HI in near perfect condition and there was a buyer with a burning desire. As 1982 models, they have the solder terminal K-55-Vs and the K-77-Ms that have better highs than the pre-'79 K-77s.
sheltie dave
You had a bidder with a (-1) rating, and two other serious bidders with 1 winning bid each, that bid it up 14 times. A very beautiful wood, finish, and the prettiest Klipsch grilles, along with five planets in alignment...voila!
Ki Choi
John: My Heresy's have SN:171Y018 and 171Y019. I believe they are '83 vintage so they should have better components, correct? I paid more than the average going price on ebay (~$400) since the pair was a near perfect HWO model with original boxes and packing foams, not to mention I was able to pick them up with only 3 hours of driving (one way...). moondawg
I agree they're a beautiful pair. I've purchased two pairs on eBay that were manufactured less than a week apart in the same year as those, (136X & 140X). They have the same finish and grills and both are in near mint condition. One pair came in at $410, the other at $401.50. The average price delivered was $471. Oh well, I guess if I were on the other side of the auction, I'd be jumping up and down with glee... jeffgeorge
I sold a pair of '82 birch Heresy's several years ago on ebay for $850 plus shipping! Yea, I was surprised too. Back then, there were not very many Klipsch on ebay. I don't know if that had much to do with it or not. Never have had that kind of luck since on ebay. edster00
DiEGO, Your speakers were manufactured in 1982. What really matters is how they sound to your ears!
DiEGO10 -aRG-
Thanks Edster! It would be nice if someone could tell me the exact date but I suppose that would be too much I'm very pleased with this ones and also how the complement with my KSW12. Thanks again, Eds!
