does Hope have an airport?

Someone mentioned the local crop duster service. Northwest Airlines is big (non-stops) into Memphis, from DC whence I came and apparently from Indy. A smaller NWA DC-9 flies from Memphis to Little Rock. I flew to Memphis and drove a rental car from Hope, but the 4-5 hr. drive was too long and boring to do it again. The DC-9 hop is an hour and I believe LR is about 1.5 hrs from Hope. As was said, you can probably hitch a ride.

Guys

I'm planning on coming too [:)] Can't wait to see you all in Hope[:)]

I'm still going to drive it. Since Hope is a 3-4 hour drive from

the major airports, plus airport time, I figure I still will take me

9-10 hours to get there, so I might as well make the 12-13 hour drive.

I would be going thru Memphis, maybe I could pick up some folks at the airport.

Plus if the weather is good, I can take the roof off and crank some tunes[:)]

DrWho.

Chicago to Hope is about 750 miles. That's a fairly long haul for a day's drive, but carpooling wouldn't be too bad.

Roundtrip airfare from Chicago to Little Rock will be in the $250 price range.

As I remember, the motel rooms in Hope were under $75 or so.

We have never set a full line of product for folks to hear.

You will get to hear some product anywhere we do this.

This will be the frist time we have taken a tour in the plant while it is running. There will be some things for you to have a chance to do in the plant.

We have a mesuem of audio history in Hope.

A full lab where we confirm the mfg. line test and engineer the cinema line.

As for after hours, there may be more to do in Indy but we will have fun in Hope.

Hope is where it all started. It's like going home. The "night life" activities involve hanging out with the folks from this forum. Talking, having a few beers, listening to music. I for one would take that over a nightclub any day of the week.

Just cuz you're old....[;)][:P]

But I'd take hanging out and listening to music over "nightlife" too...I guess that means I'm also getting old, haha

Will we be able to see any history on the old PA lineup too? I've got

some speakers that I would love to get some documentation on. It seems

as if the PA market was just lost forever in klipsch world (which is a

shame because that's how I got hooked....)

Well, IF we have the concert / BBQ then the Engineer that will be running sound will be using some older gear. He worked on a lot of the Pro gear over the last 8 or so years and Roy has had his hand most of that product for the last 15+ years. SO, yes you can get some info and maybe hear some to.

What does Hope offer? I thought Indy would have all of the technical fun stuff. I would go to Indy just to hear the complete line of speakers in one place.

I know you are thinking 'speakers' and 'technical' stuff in this post, but what does Hope have to offer?

good friends, good tunes

plus, something that you'll never find in Indy

a stunning view of the Milky Way

Hey Trey,

Will we have some place where we can bring some equipment (bigger than

the breakfast nook at the Holiday Inn)? I think for somehting

liek this we may be able to pull out the stops, get some fine examples

of all different stuff from over the years, and maybe some of the

modded new stuff too? I would love to hear what Roy thinks of

DeanG modded RF-7's...

Can we get a room rate from the nice folks at HI?

Any nice little B&B's around there might like to hook us up?

Is the Clinton tour on the schedule?

I'm excited! JUBILEEE Wooooohooooo

Kriton,

If you come through Little Rock I would be happy to take you guys through the Clinton Library. While there is no blue dress it does harken us to a time of balanced budgets and fiscal responsibility. Send me a message I'd be happy to.
