I got a mint HK-730 from Robster for $75 shipped, a pair of 76 Heresy's at a local garage sale for $225 and am using an old TEAC CD player (that needs upgrading) for about $50. sheltie dave
DTel, we had a bunch of Liam's friends over for his fourth birthday Saturday evening. He decided to watch Ice Age - The Meltdown(bday present,) so we threw it in and cranked the Fortes up. During the course of the movie, one kid got up for a soda, and a second went to the lou. The other eight stayed in their chairs the ENTIRE movie, giving their folks a priceless hour of rest, idle gossip, and relaxation. It was amazing seeing the kids react, laugh, and have a blast. Thanks, Klipsch!
Mike Lindsey
Oh yeah, I forgot about the C28, MC2205 and MR-71 for $500 at a local garage sale just a few weeks back. That's not too bad a deal either. []

sheltie dave
DTel, it is Latin for Saint Louis. One of my dad's greatest joys was attending St. Louis U. during the Ed McCauley era when they were national champs. This is a small way to honor his memory. Now when I look at junior, and see Grandpa's larger sized head, I chuckle at the thought that grandson will be just as onery and stubborn as Grandpa![] Oh yea, we have a $40 SW-10 subwoofer to get the down low on that system as well. I think the Fortes are one of Paul's better efforts.
