Erich Loepke
The door's open here as well for anyone wanting to hear the Klipschorn with a two-channel setup. Just forgive the slight mess (I'm the only one living here). I hope I'll get the chance to hear some other systems as well. Analog fans, be sure to bring your favorite LPs! Al Klappenberger
Hi Guys, I think this is a good idea too and I think Klipsch should encourage it. Paul used home based dealer as his "stores" back in the 1950s. I would be happy to do it, but my stuff is modified and doesn't represent the "real thing" any more. Al K. Mike Lindsey
Al, You should get together with Kevin S. (Ellicott City) and check out one another's systems. You both have a love for McIntosh gear and Heritage speakers. Just a thought... Mike ------------------ My Music Systems

soundog
BB- Anytime - probably after the holidays would be best - I tore some stuff apart and have to put it back together the right way - everything is askew and wires are all over the place - It's working but not pretty - I hate it when I start something and then get interupted - the holidays are great but take up extra time. ------------------ Soundog's HT Systems
TBrennan
Well we have a little informal horn club in Chicago, we have meetings whenever someone feels like holding one; we have Altec and JBL guys, Klipsch guys, Lowther guys and some guys that are WAY out there, like Paul Eizak with his all-horn dipole (yes, dipole basshorns) EV rig with homemade tractrix horns. I posted the 1st meeting here a couple of months ago but didn't get any response here, lots at the Asylum. Anybody wants to come over and hear some good horns (just kidding) give me a ring, I'm listed and have lots of free time.
Guy Landau
Count me in also,if anyone of you guys happen to be in Tel-Aviv,you are invited to listen to my Khorn's with ALK crossovers mated to Marantz model 1's and 2's tube pre/power amps and Burmester cd player. jhawk92
Add one in CT to the mix...I have Forte II-based with 2 pr of KG 1.2 and a KV-4. Might be nice to have someone to roll their eyes appreciatively, rather than just the "tsk" I get now.
Ray Garrison
Hey, jhawk, I live in Oxford, about 6 miles from exit 15 off I84. I have a two channel La Scala based system. We should try and get together sometime! Ray ------------------ Music is art Audio is engineering Ray's Music System
Audible Nectar
Tbrennan, I should take you up on that offer. I remember that you did PM me when I was shopping for Klipsch on this board (found them too - gotta love this board). I am three hours or less from the Chicago area, and would like to make it up for one of these. Post it here the next time it happens - it certainly sounds worthwhile. I guess the only thing bad that can happen is that I will learn too much (hehe) and become addicted to bigger and better horns ------------------ First we Rock, then we Roll! TBrennan
Phishin---I'll let you know, we get guys coming from places like West Lafeyette and Fort Wayne, Moline ain't bad, I'm only 15 minutes from I-80 and I-55. A house full of fanatical hornies is quite a talkfest, more jabberin' than listening and that's fitting. Hornies, being an outcast minority of hi-fi fans, are very co-operative and supportive when together.
jhawk92
Ray- Sounds good. I am about 10 miles off I-84 at Exit 7. Maybe after the holidays we can do a "home and away" listening campaign. It's been so long since I have heard LaScalas, and would like to learn a bit more about them, especially the ALK crossovers. Let's try and make some time. Not sure if I want to catch the upgrade bug again. I was "this close" to bidding on the pair of OO Chorus IIs last night. They went for $500!!! The seller was in Colorado Springs and I will be in Denver for Xmas...mmm what a present. However, I would still have to get them here. But what a deal! I saw some pics and they were in great shape. I just don't have a place to put them right now. Maybe I am not a true Klipschaholic...I didn't buy speakers hoping to use them somewhere. Besides, the WAF might have been hard to explain. It would have been great. Move the Forte IIs to surrounds, and Chorus IIs up front. WOW!
Jobman
Well, for the Nor. California crowd, my 1979 K-horns, Heresy Surrounds and C7 center are available to listen to. I should have the rebuilt Fischer 500C hooked up this weekend, as it is broken in now. (If it sounds as sweet with the K-horns as it does my small advents in the garage, I'll be in heaven) Mike
edster00
I'm in Atlanta, and folks are welcome to give a listen to my '78 Khorns. Bear in mind that my rig is in an unfinished basement with a pool table in the way for acoustic treatment. ------------------ Ed W

MagnumMan
I love to show off my system! But haven't finished it off with Klipsch yet. I have a KLF C7 coming and a pair of KG 5.5's. Will then move KG 3.5's to surrounds. ------------------ Jerry CP RULZ
