Just curious what that would do?  Would the woofers move the opposite way or something? I know my hsu vtf 15h has the option to change the phase 180 degrees, but I don't understand what is happening.

I understand that more current (from higher storage capacitors?) emptying their output load means that difficult to drive speakers will receive higher flow of electricity, and in turn, will react better since the influx of current can "overcome" impedance dips and difficult to drive x over designs, etc.    But why does this result in better sound?   I'm thinking of the voltage as a signal, as one would in audio signal flow, and maybe that is a flaw in my understanding (let me know if that is the case). But...Does the greater current = greater frequency bandwidth or a more equally powered response? So... a more even frequency response because there is a stronger signal incoming at load for impedance dip frequencies, and therefore, where an amp delivering less current would produce weaker signal at the dip frequencies, a higher current amp would overcome the resistive load and deliver an equal amount of power across the spectrum?  Is my thinking totally off base? Are there any physical/electroacoustic phenomena that can be observed with instruments to describe this visually?     Anyone who knows a good resource for research in this realm (from general 'for dummies' to reference texts, to scholarly  journals) would be great!    

Switched mode power supply instead of a traditional transformer based power supply that most tube amplifiers have.   6N4 (Chinese tube) is the small input tube and it has a 12.6v filament, see your first post. 6P3P (6L6G) is the larger power tube. I would suggest trying to learn more about tubes by looking at tube data sheets and other resources.   The HK A300 can not be modified to use anything but a 6V6. If you want an EL34 amplifier buy an EL34 amplifier.   A good tube amp design with basic tubes sounds better than a bad design with the "flavor of the month" tube.

Hi Klipsch community,   Brought home a pair of La Scala LSIIs today, hooked them up to my Crown DC300A, and realized that the tweeter on one of them seems very muffled compared to the other one that sounds nice and clear. I re-activated my account after years and years (maybe late 2000's was the last time I was here). Just to say, Trey, I have very fond memories of the old Klipsch board and hospitality and "forum appreciation day" from the 2006 or so timeframe down in Indy. It is sad news indeed that you were let go. Sounds like you had a good run but what a gut punch.    I still love Klipsch and have the old 1977 CW's and KHorns. I remember getting the drivers from the KHorns tested down at Indy in maybe 2006 or so, and meeting the guy who put them together in 1977 (HDRBuilder, or something like that). Since the late 2000's my main hobby has switched to guitars and amps. Being a brand boi, I really got into Mesa Boogies and lo and behold they were recently bought by corporate Gibson. Mesa's founder Randall Smith seemed to have a lot of the same philosophies as Paul W. Klipsch, in my opinion and their products reflected that.    Why am I back here? I googled to see what the latest was with Klipsch as Mesa's founder recently left and they are now owned by Gibson. I guess I was seeing what the future may hold for Mesa Boogie since Klipsch was bought/sold etc more than a decade ago, maybe 15+ years ago.    I'm very glad to see that the Heritage line is still around.    Anyway, maybe I'll get back in the two channel rabbit hole here someday. I still have tubes and horns for music listening but haven't changed anything since 2008 or so.     

You can always get two sub and bass shakers or Crowson tactile transducer which will be stronger than 2 16 in subs for vibrations in movies.   musiciansfriend.com/drums-percussion/buttkicker-lfe-sonic-shaker/540261000000000?cntry=US&cur=USD&utm_content=540261000000000--Buttkicker%20LFE%20S   Two subs will give you all the volume you need and the transducers can shake things up without enormous wooferage.  Cheaper also.

Can't answer on what you should like. It will vary from room to room and person to person.  This hobby can get costly, so, buy what you like and like what you buy.  😁

Stick with good quality tubes made for the amp.  Rolling most likely won't offer you any better SQ.  Your tubes are your amp and good ones should sound great.
