When I bought my pair of Corncsalas, they came with 2 pair of crossovers. The AA's I'm selling and a pair of B2's. I sent the B2's to Dean for a recap and battery mod so the AA's are for sale. Of note, I changed the squawker cap and moved a wire on the autoformer at Deand suggestion but it's reversible if you like. No, I did not keep the old caps but they're a couple of dollars at Parts Express. I will pay shipping in the contental US and eat Pay Pal fees. Cost is $50.00. Thanks for looking, Carl.2 points

Dang bro, that's severe right there. I didn't get this kind of pressure over in the BOSE forums.2 points

How about we start taking more of a political bully approach. We are going to start twisting you arm as you know if you don't move to the dark side of the Heritage line up, your not a true member of this forum.2 points

Putting off breaking out the pressure washer and the 32' ladder. Anyone want to talk me out of it? Cheers Gents2 points

Not trying to talk you ink getting rid of the 83s but, as much ad I lived them I find my thx kl650s much much more detailed than the 83s. The thx speakers aren't bright whatsoever though and I find them very neutral I'd deeply consider 3 lascalas if you are getting that much more detail. I know I loved my 83s but I wouldn't swap back and like my more detailed speakers as well. You could always grab the 3rd lascala from billy if need be.2 points

Having been down that road with mine, I will suggest this.... whether he does or does not do well, put your arm around him let him know you love him and support him. There will be plenty of ball games ahead.2 points

pop a 32" Sammy in there these big screens are ridiculousness lol in a completely light controlled theater like yours youth I doubt you would even notice if you loose any at all1 point

One of my biggest concerns with your front wall is how deep is it, and how far away is from your front row. We may not have much wiggle room, but if your false wall is deep enough it might not be a problem. I would just hate your to reconstruct and find out your front row is now to close to the speakers and scree.1 point

Youth like you my taste in speakers in general for looks has always been in the newer style like the Reference line. I think the RF-7 ll's in your living room are an excellent choice and I personally would never even consider replacing them with LaScalas just not my particular taste. That said in your theater room I think the LaScalas would be a great choice and three of them as Left, Center, Right would really be a great setup both sounding and looking great in the theater room. I think that the 3 LaScalas would be better than the RF-83 / RC-64 combo. If you decide to switch to the LaScalas as my personal taste I'd also prefer to see them out front to be both seen and heard at their best, not confined and hidden in a false wall.1 point

There is a special website that has been created for that purpose, SUI.gov. Just a few personal questions and off you go....1 point

Mach-1, your brave, nothing wrong with the pic but when you blow it up that size it gets a little rough. If we kiss up can we get + points to counteract the warning points ? Kind of like screw up insurance.1 point

Shipping would be a problem ? I have some play money coming up and just wondering. Mark - I think shipping would be cost prohibitive - these are very big horns - I believe 38" diameter. They are also pretty heavy (unlike the oris horns which are amazingly light). Perhaps you can get in touch with crate and freight - I'll be happy to accommodate in any way I can.1 point

No matter, good find! The Rebel speaker. Betcha, if I were a betting man, sounds nice enough. Price reduced as thinking according to other thread, the posting went away!?!1 point

Hey Youth! I know where there is a single La Scala sitting in Texas that could probably be picked up in person for $100. Maybe if you come to Hope next April you could make a side trip?? Rog1 point

Just a word of caution....no one ever just dips their toe into the Klipsch pool. It might appear to be this beautiful pool, but in reality, it's more like this....1 point

"Large" / "Small" is a confusing name for this setting, it would be better if Large was labeled "Not Using a Subwoofer" and Small was labeled as "Using a Subwoofer" as this is the correct way to use this setting, it has nothing to do with the size of the speakers. When using a subwoofer the speakers should be set to "Small" and then the appropriate crossover settings should be set for the speakers to best match their capabilities while the lowest bass will be left to the subwoofer Small = Use subwoofer and crossover setting. Large = No subwoofer and no crossover setting. Note: When using "Large" as the setting the low bass crossover is not used at all. The correct setting when using a subwoofer is "Small" and then set a low bass crossover point, how low this crossover point is set is up to the capability of the speakers.1 point

Those are just the most refined cornscalas iv ever seen. Im not into the 2way although with daves horn and all the work put into them they are so sweet. Id love to start using a 2way now. Long way to ship. 2k's not bad at all tho1 point

I stumbled onto this website by accident. A cursory review tells me it could be a handy reference for shoppers. Perhaps many of you already know about it but maybe it'll be handy to others! http://www.audioverity.com Steve1 point

The forte II will dig down to 32HZ. I had a Velodyne sub for many years, and I left the crossover set at large and about 40HZ or less. Even then I felt it was keeping the forte II from really reaching their potential. I ended up ditching the sub and run just 2.0 for music and video. I'm thinking you will find that the favorable listening position for video will be small and for audio large. Best regards, John1 point

Modern day AVRs, unless you really throw some serious money at them, don't fare well compared against the old stuff. I have both a Denon 3808ci and an older Luxman R-117 receiver and the Luxman makes the Denon sound like there's something wrong with it. When you change something in your system and you don't like the result, try not to overthink the problem.1 point

That is funny. If they have the correct drivers and networks and truly built to proper specs in the right setting(i guess the laundry room maybe kitchen lol)they would serve a good purpose1 point
