Yard work this AM. Had to get on the roof to blow pine straw off and clean gutters. Reclaimed the back slate walk way from over grown shrubbery. Used the blower to clean walks, drive, porches, and the road in front of mi casa. Tomorrow maybe some pressure washing. But tonight....shrimperoo and bourbon at a friends house at the beach. Have fun Gary! Mark I will start SS in January at age 67. Waited a year so it would increase by 8%. Every little bit helps. I figure that 8% will allow about three nice meals out per month. Everyone.....put your thinking caps on about Rodney's house in April and let Christy know. Thanks! Cheers Ladies and Gents6 points

Thanks Chuck for stopping by RTM and your night out to see a Journey tribute band.... How were they ?? Ok, just closing up the Hall for the night.... Everything ready for Pezz' arrival tomorrow... All for now, coffee in the morning with you all ;0) Good night now.........good night... ........Gary6 points

Mornin' guys ... just a brief drop-in today. We're heading down to Colorado Springs to meet up with some friends for the day. Went to the Rockies game last night and they actually resembled a MLB team. Great time. Gary ...hope that wound is feeling better and healing. Organs can be quite dangerous. I remember almost falling off the organ bench one time. But then I used to drink a lot back in those days. Have a safe and fun weekend everyone and, of course, cheers!!5 points

Cable jobs done, didn't go perfect but went well enough i cant complain. Ky buddy now has hdmi ran from his receiver in a closet to a tv on the other side of the room. I installed his Klipsch incelling surround speakers earlier this spring. The othe cable project was speaker wire to the garage to utilize my second zone on my receiver. I just need to find out how to play Spotify on the second zone. Also need a 2nd zone amp i can control with my phone. A receiver upgrade may be in order but not until after the first of the year. Thanks Billy and dTel.... I washed it carefully, I think it will heal pretty good, no bleeding at this time.. Yeah, some of the high places we have to perch from in these instruments is pretty scary, and we are all getting on at our shop (same ages) and we are trying to get younger people interested.... We have had help from a few when we are in need during crunch times, but, most whom are interested still have priorities and post college goals...so, they are just temps... Anyway, we just keep on keepin' on as they say Well, dinner time, then some 'sprucing' up the place for my audio guest arriving at noon. BUT, we will be spinning something during tonight over in RTM.. NEWS, just did a little work on the Sony 8 track, got the head to move through it's range. Darn thing plays flawlessly now and I am VERY surprised at the clarity of sound from it!! Just tried the Rick Wakeman cart and both channels are even and I can't detect any flutter in the pitch/tape speed in the synthesizers, New belt was all it needed Back on the side and reporting to the RTM group... .......Gary3 points

After looking a long time I finally scored on a local set of KP-201ii's. I don't much about these other than they are a Heresy 2 in battle dress as Colter likes to say LOL. I got them in the man cave for the time being sitting on top of my tapped horns I built. Its late so I can't crank them but I will tomorrow! So far like every klipsch speaker I have owned I like em! Here are couple pics since not posting pics of a new purchase is a absolute no no! https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3yub8MsksaQNWV5T09mb2RUb28/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3yub8MsksaQcXRpTWNMamljcUE/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3yub8MsksaQUTgtM081QlV2ZU0/view?usp=sharing2 points

i am prolly one of the few that has owned both. and there is no question about it! KEEP YOUR RC-62ii!!!! everyone on here that is guessing how it may sound is right. when they say it is warm and it will match your towers in timbre that is correct. HOWEVER the downside to that is why would you want a warm less detailed center where all the dialogue comes from? i have listened to them side by side and any day of the week i would take the 62. 4 is not always better than 2 either. my palladium spanks any of the 4 woofer models from klipsch. i know not a fair fight, just saying though. let me know if you have any more questions between the two models.2 points

Oh, no you don't! I was looking to be helpful, not looking of a project. The rate you are fast cycling through speakers lately, building your own cabinets will slow you down and that is a good thing!!! I would actually be cutting on a 5' x 11' CNC router table, so any additional cuts or dados would not be a big deal.2 points

You rock, "Mookie" Thinking it may take 2 trips to St. L. Once I get the cabs apart, probably bring you the motor boards. Pick them back up at your convenience. Swap some stories and lunch too. Have to get "jiminSTL" in on this, I am sure he would enjoy being a part of... Heck, "Mookie" --- I may have you make all of the cuts for me. If you have the time and desire, that is. Got any glue?2 points

let me know the dimensions and I can cut the motherboards for you. Just the cost of the wood. (and a road trip to St. L) to pick up.2 points

I wanted a unlocked BD player that i could play DVD's or BD's from most anywhere on the planet from 220 Electronics. Player sure is small and feels kind of cheap. But it sure is faster than my old Pioneer Elite 05 FD. Pic and audio seem just as good as my Pioneer and Oppo players. Now i can play most any disc.2 points

I spoke with forum member, Rick, last week about these. He actually looked at the speakers and said the cabinets are shot. With out seeing the speakers yet, my plans are to first get the tweeters up and running. Hopefully it is no more than putting the original diaphragms out of my KLF-30's in the Chorus. Actually thinking this would be a great winter project. Going to build my own, custom cabinets. Make em' look pretty too Only a forum member, such as us, would get excited about driving hours to pick up someone else's discard. Updates soon...2 points

The scar will be fine no one will notice. But really it could have been a lot worse, you could have fell 2 floors down and splatted in the middle of the floor........you would have been remembered forever........Ok that's not how you want to be remembered I can imagine but it could have ended badly anyway. Never thought of an organ tuner as a high risk job until I met you.2 points

Thanks for the compliments on the photos guys.......... Yes, those are old timbers for sure, the clear glass windows are pretty much all original, and they are very 'wavy' when you look through them from a distance... HA, I did have a little mishap in the middle chamber early on in the job this morning.... This was at the very start when I had to do some repairs before tuning... I reached for what I thought was some sturdy organ structure down low under the main organ components, turned out to be a short 4' straight wooden ladder that was made by the organ company back in the day. I thought it was attached to the organ and the floor like the one that was near it but NO!, it was just leaning there. So, I grabbed it, and of course I am down at the floor level with knees fully bent thinking I could grab this thing and pull myself under the organ where I needed to do service work. Well, the speed and mass that thing had coming right for my head could NOT be stopped!! So, I foolishly clobbered myself right above the right eye!! I am thinking 'I don't want to go to the hospital for stitches, just not up to it. Red liquid flowing out instantly. My co-worker was just outside that door you see in the photo and looked at it. Said it was a gash and would be ok... I made a mess of my white hanky and just delt with it.. Later went down to the washroom, and yeah, it is a 3/4" horizontal split over the eyebrow, NOT a cut! Reminded me of what the boxers get when they get hit in the eye...... So, maybe a new scar added to my face.. At least avoided the ER Ok Chuck and who ever my want to stop by RTM, either TONIGHT, or most certainly if you get a moment tomorrow during our audio extravaganza here in Music Hall..... Hope to see you for a spin on vinyl or what have you. OH, TWO sealed 8 tracks arrived today! One a Rick Wakeman and the other Jimmy Smith's Greatest Hits! A few more bits of lube in the Sony and it should be good to go for FUN tomorrow.... .......Gary2 points

Cool man...I like the looks of those already. Yeah, they will look good when you are done. Look good in your setup already. The best!1 point

You will want to first put your red meter probe in the cathode current test point and the black probe on ground. Adjust the bias adjust pot until you reach .22 volts. The balance is a bit trickier and I can explain how I do it. Refer to my image below. You will want to measure DC resistance with the amplifier off from point A to B and A to C. Lets use some hypothetical values here and say we measured 153 from A to B and 170 from A to C. We want equal current between the two so a little math will tell us what we want. We are looking for a total of 70mA per channel so that's 35mA a tube. What we are effectively doing is measuring the voltage drop across this DC resistance in the output transformer. For A to B we want .035*153=5.355 and for A to C we want .035*170=5.95. So being extremely careful with the amp on you will measure DC voltage from A to B and A to C adjusting the balance control until you get 5.3 across A to B and 5.9 across A to C. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! If you want measure the DC resistances first and check back with the data. You should have four measurements A to B and A to C for two channels.1 point

I keep mine simple. I use the passive box designed for the MCM1900 4-way in my workshop with a single JBL/Urie 6360 amp. Sounds great, but I'm no hifi nut. How loud are you guys listening to your music?? I'm 56 and can still fashion a mean live mix - because I've protected my hearing religiously. Louder is NOT better in nearly every instance.1 point

I have a hard copy of the manual, if I find you can have it. I just have to locate it, but for now hopefully someone will chime in.1 point

ha here is a good one! my favorite rx-7 on base over there! and the black skyline sitting behind it was given to me. a pilot left it when he returned to the states. it had about 2 months worth of insurance left paid on it. i drove the crap out of it. basically tore it up. last day before it went to the crusher i ran it in to a concrete wall and then took a bat to it. its a shame how they do cars over there. no one pays the insurance and all the other stuff on them ahead of time they come pick the car up and junk it.1 point

you know i used to love cars nismo. when i found out i was gonna be stationed in japan i could not wait to go over and see a skyline in person on the streets. when i got there and realized they made non turbo automatic front wheel drive only skylines i lost so much interest in them. i mean it was unreal how many were all over the streets. when i left there some of my favorites were the silvias, second and third ten rx-7's and they had so many badass four doors over there like the toyota crowns. i remember going to drift sessions in their industrial areas. them guys are nuts over there. yokohama bridge meets! tokyo auto salon! oh man do i miss japan!1 point

Haaa... just noticed we were on the 2ch forum. I'll bring it full circle with some great scores by Harry Greson Williams. Some of the best music in gaming that rivals that of any movie. Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvarori ain't too bad either for the iconic Halo score. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jZLRqZPorb01 point
