  2. Mornin' everybody. Chuck ... hope you're feeling better and major sympathies to all with dental pain. I went through the vast majority of my life never taking pain meds until dental pain left no choice in the matter. Really nasty stuff. Weird Colorado weather this week ... but that's the norm this time of year. Supposed to hit the 60's and maybe even 70 and we still have our big snow month of March to go. We're never out of the woods on snow until late April to early May. Have a good Wednesday guys.

  3. Well I don't have bad credit, I just have no credit which is just as bad. A very long time ago we decided to get away from the credit thing, and large house and car notes. We ended up with a debit card because you have to have some kind of card for some things. I would have great credit if I owed everyone but paid everything on time, I would rather not owe and just use cash. And I'll bet you actually have money too! I like your financial practice.

Buy another place and default on it...presto, the two negatives are now a positive credit score. i feel for you...i lost my house in a divorce several years ago. 5. Evening gang..... Been a couple days since I posted....not really busy...but just doing a bunch of shitt...you guys know what it's like.. Man the teeth thing......six/seven years ago me and the BOSS had some real bad shitt go down with our teeth.....- No we weren't smoking crack- .... But I really think it had to do with stress. It was the time we were have major problems with our eldest daughter. When she really went crazy with the heroin addiction. Man it was bad, we still had two kids living with us and we had to take on our granddaughter full time. Then the eldest just fell off the face of the map for those few years... The BOSS was crushed and the word "stressed" is a understatement... Well anyway we put over 10k in our mouth in just over a year. We both had several root canal's and extractions... we were a mess. And I tell ya I'm a nut when it come to teeth hygiene... I floss most days and brush my teeth three/four time a day at the shop... and I really don't eat junk.. Well we seem to be good for now.. haven't had any problems in a few years.. Was kinda a slow day at the shop today... our youngest daughter came by... yea she's the one in the LaScala bass bin....the BOSS helped her with her taxes. While she was there I thought it would be good to change her oil in her 99 Civic.. wasn't quite due but hey she's here now. Her Civic is now pushing over 326K ..... This has been a great little car for her. We got it from a customer a few years ago when it had 306 on it.. I have been working on this car since it had about 80k on it.... So when they were getting a new car they asked me what I would give em for it... I said how about $500 and they said sure...then they asked if they could have that in "shop credit"? .... well yea...sure... A few months before they sold me the car they put a new set of Michelin's on it... and I knew this car inside-out.. It's been a good little ride for her.....but over the last few months it's been loosing coolant... not a leak... it's just using it... might be the start of a head gasket... oh well... it's gonna do what it's gonna do.... Check in with you guys later.... MKP :-)

  8. Hey Dtel, another thing you can try is a good Bluetooth receiver. Plug it in to the 3.5mm and sink either your ipad or phone via bluetooth. My wife and I use this one upstairs, it works great connects every time. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/logitech-wireless-bluetooth-speaker-adapter-black/5294033.p?id=1219118247499&skuId=5294033&lsft=ref:212,loc:1&ksid=270aeee8-ea63-4e91-a8ee-c9dacd3a1f5a&ksprof_id=8&ksaffcode=pg77&ksdevice=c

  9. Since this thread is about cables I wanted to show what I found out. Out in the bar I use a car radio to power some Heresy's, mainly because I was worried about dampness being outside even being under a roof. The radio does have pre-outs so I use a Crown D-75 and not the radio's amps, it's sounds good out there. It is a Pioneer super tuner lll, it has a 3.5mm input for a male headphone plug so you can play Pandora or whatever you want from a phone or anything with a headphone output. But one the youngest grand kids got to the wire and was moving it around and then one speaker was working off and on. So I started looking at different ways to connect since it has a usb input also. The usb input would not work but I did find out that on the back of the radio is a 12 prong connection which they sell an adapter for which converts it to the 3.5mm jack. I got lucky, I thought I was going to have to buy a new faceplate for the radio or something different to use altogether. They call it a a IP-BUS input adapter and just plugs into the read of the radio, I never heard of it but for $6.99 it saved the day and it works great. Also ordered a new 20' 3.5 mm cable to run to where ever needed around the bar from Monoprice. The cable is really thick and 20' long and was $4.39, unbelievably cheap for a cable made this well, I don't know how they do it at these prices?

Am trying to get back on my feet since finding meds that kind of help, for years the doctors and pain management specialists used me for a guinea pig and it rendered me useless for some time. very sorry to hear that Jason ... i hope that you find some relief. I too live in chronic pain; but, am still able to work (four herniated disks and arthritis in neck & hip). The herniated disks in my neck cause me a great deal of discomfort. One wrong move and i’m in pain for a long while. May i suggest reading the marijuana thread.

  13. Iv opted for my first "Implant" @ $7 bones, for just one tooth, reasonable I think. I'm in the same shape, they want $900 and don't have it. Probably just have it pulled but hate to as I'm getting very low on teeth. I use Care Credit, just another payment/bill. Care Credit is a health credit card really good for Vet work on critters, but a lot of Doc's accept this now. They bill me $25 a month + or -, and I pay a hundred.

  15. Tried making a Bloody Mary last night with some cheap Brandy i had laying around, man was it bad. I drank it though, nothing else in the house. Hit like a ton of bricks and made my mouth pucker , aftertaste was all Zing Zang and not too bad. Don't try this at home, get some Vodka and do it right.

Not messed up enough to collect disability but not really able to support myself. At least i can still work at my own pace working out of the house, breaks and short work days when needed makes things tolerable.

  25. Not enough to talk about but it also does not require you to kill yourself just to pay for things you really don't need. The normal way of thinking is you need the big fancy house and new cars, not really, you just need to be happy and not worry what others may think. My wife gave me a t-shirt, it says " In memory of when I cared".

  27. That's pretty neat, good idea, I need to bookmark that. I love little things like that to solve problems without costing a fortune. Something else I tried a while back was a wifi repeater and it works great. Out by the bar the wifi worked great 85% of the time but sometimes would cut out off and on, the repeater fixed that and was under $30.

  29. We got the black looking stuff, the blond was nasty, smelled like dog poop when burned, it was time to quit. Probably was. I have mistaken skunk spray for hydroponic MJ myself. Real Skunk buds do come around once and a while but seems to be kind of hard to find. Its counter to what most people think but good soil grown bud is actually higher quality than hydroponic. Growers just use hydroponic systems to maximize yield and be able to maintain nutrient levels etc easier. I attended the University of Colorado when the Medical Cannabis movement really started out and know a decent amount about the industry. Most strains are a mix of the two primary types of plant: Indica and Sativa. Sativa is a taller plant and has more THC for a mind racing energetic (paranoid) feeling while Indica is bushier and has more CBD which is the typical "Stoned" couch lock feeling. The different strains have been bred between a mix of these two plants for different effects. The best I have ever tried was called "Champagne" and it was a wonderful Sativa that was clear headed and euphoric but not at all overwhelming, just overall pleasant. Lol its gotten to the point now where Cannabis is rivaling fine Wine in how intricate the nuances are and the care required to grow it and cure it properly.

You will have time to relax and enjoy yourself without as much stress, and get back into listening and playing more music. Your moving to Oregon, now get a atomizer and relax, you may find you end up much healthier, and positively calmer...........but still look before both ways you cross the road

  36. The government chose this case since it was terrorists, and the public can't sympathize with terrorists. This whole case is troubling to me since the first day of the San Bernadino attack, all witnesses reported three white athletic built men in military black uniforms carried out the attack. Not a conspiracy theorist, just a realist. Even though eye witness accounts are the least trustworthy in any investigation, something just doesn't feel right about this whole mess. It is too late to change this country becoming a police state to rival any in history. The majority believe in giving up rights for security. I have sons working in the cutting edge of tech, and neither believe there is any way that privacy exists, or has existed for the last couple of decades.

  47. Morning gang Lite day, as in nothing planned. Had a hit on my EAW stacks, local gent from up the hill, looking to be a flake. Will Re-Post my CL listing, Goal this year is move them outta here by summer, yet another reason im being lazy on the completion of the other MCM Bass Bin, NO ROOM for both. 70's+ yet again today Tunes, Libations, and Skeeters, sound like a good plan for the day. Back to parts shopping, Long wire Antenna + insulators (Glass) still need to be acquired. 82' run for this house, because I have the room. With the Ant Tuner I have on the way, plan is to get down below 1Mhz or ULF as they refer to it. 45+ years ago I listened/talked all over the world running less than 2 watts. This is NOT Ham Radio, just kind of a kinky past time to chat with a fellow in Kuwait about his weather Hobby's, see, that is what Retirement should be about, well that and getting the Trash to the curb today.........like now

  48. I meant to say earlier, those are far and away the coolest tube amps I ever have seen. They have just the right vibe. Well done Mr. Tool Shed. Thank you very much! My goal has always been to build an amplifier (or Line-Stage, or Phono-Stage) that looks as good as it sounds. Frankly, we now live in a world where everything is "disposable" (ie., not worth repairing). So many "black boxes" have been churned out of Asian factories over the last 30yrs.+ that we as American consumers have been brainwashed into accepting this new paradigm whereby mediocre performance is acceptable because of the low initial cost of purchase (and if it breaks, or if we "drink the cool-aid" and want the new "feature" or processing algorithm) then we can just kick it to the curb and buy a new one at low cost. I think there is something inherently wrong with this mentality. I grew up in a time when I watched my parents and maybe more importantly, my grand-parents work very hard for their money and when they made a purchase, they bought the best that they could afford with the idea that they would buy that item ONCE. Years ago, there were repair facilities for everything from furniture to vacuum cleaners and everything in between. What has happened? With this in mind, I created ToolShed Amps. Designed and built to outlive us all. An AMERICAN aesthetic, derivative of nothing, as finely crafted and detail oriented as I can manage (you "Car-Guys" will understand this), one piece at a time. Thanks again, TS Matt.
