  1. We were talking LED lighting the other day. I ordered and installed a bed lighting kit off Ebay. Really happy with the way it turned out!

  2. Dang Tarheel, No tag for the front of bubble? About to put one up for sale here but then, thought of the bubble. Of course, it could interfere with airstream...or the looks...

  4. Hey Wolfbane you ever try the GM Syncromesh trans fluid in your S2000? Last year a guy brought in his Acura TL typeS with the six speed manual trans in the shop. He tells me it grinds going into 3rd & 4th. He wanted his transmission fluid changed and told me he wants the GM fluid in it. I was unsure at first if I wanted to do it. But he told me all the guys on the TL forum recommend it. I also called my parts bud at my Honda dealer and asked him if he ever heard of using this fluid. He told me yea and he uses it in his S2000. He said it made his S2000 shift better. After I changed the fluid in the TL I took it out for a test drive.... I couldn't believe it, it almost had no grinding going into 3rd & 4th and it shifted smoother.. There's a tech bulletin on these transmission for the grinding.... but the fluid swap fixed it about 90%. I remember way back in the day we would get Honda's in the dealership were someone changed the trans fluid in there manual trans and put gear oil (80/90) in it. Back then Honda was using just 5w30 or 10w30 in the transmissions. The gear oil would work for awhile but it would take out 5th gear and bearing. It was classic... the customers would say..... "the car has no 5th gear and it has this loud whine, I just changed the trans fluid a few months ago" MKP :-)

  5. For him i always cranked Benny Goodman, Gene Krupa maybe some andrews sisters if iv been drinking. When asking him if my tunes bothered him over the years, he just smiles and say's his kid's could use some of my music. But no, i dont think i'll be doing it, or anything. The other thought is his kid's, if he goes, iv got to deal with them, the last thing i need to hear from them would be anything negitive about me. I'll just suck this one up

  6. Sound check at no more than 95 Spl today. Ran maybe 20 Min. Kind of feeling bad for the old guy next door, 89 and laid up not doing so good. Richards Kids/Nurse have been there daily for the last week. Asking a fellow in the driveway a few days ago, he said "Not so Good this time" this may be his last day(s). So here i am, system at the ready, New Years Eve in less than 24 Hrs, Normal CRANKING TIME FOR MINERMARK!! But the last thing i want to do is disturb a great guy on his last day(s)

  9. Good Afternoon gang System sound check went well Likely the Neighbors, not so much Installing a splitter in the (Pre Out) on the current McM system, i installed another Pre, and Amp, two complete systems running one Pc input. Both fired up, Spl meter in middle of room reading 97 with less than 1/4 volume Best guess, i would say iv more than doubled what im used to. Iv had this spare QSC 1700 sitting around for years, amazing, it works. Sound Quality is impressive, as iv had to re-adjust every knob in the system(s). Mcms face toward the back of the cave, EAWs face the front.

  13. Feel better Dude. I feel like crap myself; but, it’s a mega case of indigestion...because i don’t chew my food and don’t take my medicine. And No, I’ll probably never learn. Hope you feel better tomorrow.

  14. Well, I got the call asking a yes or no question. I said no, but after a few more second I change that to a yes. It was someone in a relay of calls asking if I could hear your sound check. I think it started with schu, and went to MKP and beyond. We all heard you: Alaska to Florida.

  18. Well when i say someone supply's a"Kit" for a truck bed, i count on nothing but the lights being molded/custom fitted to a contour. And im good with that, i always supply everything else, good wire/swiches/SS fasteners. Iv always worked with "My Own Stock", as long as a "Kit" is reasonably priced, i get it anyway. I grew up on Millspec surplus, so im pretty spoiled when ity comes to good chit. Big problem i have now is there are zero surplus stores in norcal, SoCal 20+.

  19. It's great you found the "Kit". I had no idea they made those kits for beds. 90% of my LED work is taking something that is close, and re-engineering it for to preform the function requested. From either my farmer buds or myself.

  22. Well everyone have a good and safe New Years eve and New Year. Our plans will be a little damper since there is 100% chance of rain here tonight. We will all be out by the bar which is dry but we were planning on having a fire out right behind the bar which probably will not happen ? I hope the forecast is wrong, either way we will be out there under the roof having a good time. Tonight Showers

  23. Happy NY Eve folks. Have fun and be safe. We're gonna serve an annual dinner at a non-profit I've been associated with for years followed by a dance. The goal is to be home well before the ball drops. Cheers and see ya soon. Chuck

  26. My previous post was a little misleading I suspect. I didn't install a simple kit in this matter. The truth is: I installed new SO cord from the battery under truck to the bed near the tailgate. (not in kit) I installed a NOS USA made switch from aircraft control panel to control lights at the back of bed (not in kit) inline holder/fuse from railroad maintenance equipment near battery (not in kit) crimped lugs and barrel connectors for electrical connections I had laying around (not in kit). LED lights and wiring to switch only thing I got from actual "kit".

  30. That's crazy James... I don't think I could walk there... Many years ago when I was in the Army I was stationed in El Paso TX. I was a crewchief on a Med-E-Vac helicopter, it was a old Huey. We would go out on missions or just flying around.... anytime they needed a chief I would go. We would sometimes fly with the doors open it was great. There was a vest that I would wear called a monkey vest.. the vest had a strap on the back of it that you could secure to one of the rings on the floor of the helicopter. We also used them while doing hoist missions. I would strap on that vest and have my feet on the skids of the helicopter while flying...or just sitting on the edge of the floor of the aircraft..... man it was a blast... some of the pilots wouldn't let us do it, but the old Vietnam vet pilots didn't care... I felt secure with that vest on... Now, one weekend a bunch of us went out rock climbing. We all started climbing these rocks, well I got about 1/4 way up and I couldn't do any more. I had to climb down.... I could not do it, and we were all drinking beer. I had to meet the guys around the other side of the rock formation. So I could hang out of a helicopter with this strap holding me with all my weight on it 1000+ ft ..... but I was unable to climb up some rocks a few 100 ft..... Even today I don't like climbing.... I'll get on my roof to blow leaves off but I don't like it For real..... MKP :-)

  32. Well, I used to not be scared of heights, but now that's not the case. In my surefooted younger days, I climbed a few towers, launched off of high places into water, walked beams hanging steel, and was a bit of a daredevil dumba$$. Now I want to keep my feet glued to the ground. It's not difficult to imagine someone having trouble in confined areas, and going into an angst overload in a crawling cave. I guess we all used to look for a threatening challenge, run with scissors, drive faster and take more chances, some things we still do. I can't comfortably watch a video of someone climbing a high place. I guess it's too loud and I'm getting old. Is there something that you never could or used to do but are a bit chicken now...Ex: Flying, swim in the ocean, climbing, chasing married women, start fights, go fast, etc...?

  33. Good weather here at least by the standards of a Chicago winter. Michigan Avenue was closed to traffic for a protest this afternoon and my bus rerouted. FWIW. There is some sort of "me too," "Times Square" festival along a stretch of the Chicago River tonight. It has a steep admission charge. I can see that venues like the Federal Plaza and Daley Plaza are non-starters for locations. The government buildings have very large glass windows The Chicago Transit Authority is giving free rides between 10 pm and 4 am. A nice gesture. I might watch Svengoolie. WMcD

  35. Looks like great items are being posted here...............well, for me, it was time to downsize my trusty Roland keyboard amp (15" driver).. Weight of 75 lbs. and rolling it around parking lots and venues since the mid 90ies was starting to get excessive... Time to upgrade to something smaller, yet LOTS more powerful and loaded with features with a nice price point. So, called my sales tech at Sweetwater and ordered a new Behringer KXD-12 amp.... This model has everything the KC-500 has including XLR stereo outs for our sound tech (even though he has direct boxes....). 4 stereo channels input, Turbo Sound brand 12" woofer, Klark Teknik effects, 7 band eq. 600 watts bi-amped output! Here is a bunch of photos of the unwrapping........OH, I bought this without ever hearing it, just by the reviews alone did it for me.............and after about a half hour of testing with my Korg Kronos pair, I am extremely happy ....Thanks for looking

  41. As a matter of fact that's just what I installed last Spring instead of the Honda MTF which flows like water. The transmission in my S has no shifting issues when some are know to pop out of 2nd gear on downshifts when the transmission is cold. That may reflect this cars mileage as I only have put 13K miles on it since I bought it new. Pennzoil developed Syncromesh and have the Patent so they supply GM's manual transmission fluid.

  43. congrats Gary. A buddy of mine is a regular shopper at Sweetwater...although he swears that he has enough gear already. He’s one of those guys that can play everything. Trumpet, drums, keys, guitar, and bass are what i know he plays. He gave me a list of his equipment once and I realized what he meant when he said that he didn’t have room for more gear. We were laughing one day when he got a royalty check. He had written a song years ago and various artists were sampling it -- he had never heard any of the other songs either ... but he was still getting paid.
