  4. I would describe their products as reproductions, rather than counterfeits. It should be clear that any source of badges for Klipsch, Yamaha, Thorens, TEAC, and others is not providing genuine Klipsch (or Yamaha, Thorens, etc.) badges. They are providing reproduction badges that are unavailable from Klipsch. Emile, @Emile, and I purchased badges from the referenced source. The plastic badges I received were inexpensive and arrived quickly. The quality is OK, not great, but worth the price. If you are looking for genuine Klipsch parts, then, by all means be aware that these inexpensive plastic badges are reproductions. BTW, that’s a reproduction Jeep, although the wipers could be OEM. 😊

  5. Japanese Maples are my favorite plant by far, we have some weeping and upright growers in the garden. We lost probably 20 over the years, one of the growers had a problem with die back, you don't find this out until years later, have 2 left from that grower, probably will lose them one day, the rest are fine, I hope. It makes me sick when one dies. That one is in great shape, it must like it where it is.

  7. Yes it is. One of our favorites in the entire yard. There is actually a rock big enough for two people to sit on under it. It mounded right over it.

  8. We went from winter to summer in about a week. Spent this morning getting the pontoon boat ready to go in the lake tomorrow. Seems like the job takes longer with every passing year. Cooling off, sipping some Woodford Reserve, listening to Steely Dan's Katy Lied. It's my least played Steely Dan album. Not sure why.

  9. Thanks. This is one of those things that I never would have done had it not been for the fact that the floor was damaged. This seemed to be the easiest repair considering how the laminate planks were running. If they ran perpendicular I would have probably just replaced the damaged pieces as I had spares. As it is, I think this looks better.

  11. Just in the La Scala vinyl room, Dire Straights, Brothers in Arms, 2 album set with the same recordings as the CD. Guess the original album shortened a few songs to fit the medium. In particular the sax solo at the beginning of Your Latest Trick.

  22. After enjoying my Rf82ii’s and other reference II gear for 4 years, I stumbled on some modified cabinet decorator Klipschorns on Craigslist. After hearing them, I knew I had to have them. It also made me no longer satisfied with Reference gear. Even though they weren’t the B model cabinets I thought I was getting. They still sounded fantastic. Well that ended up being a rabbit hole to say the least. In one year’s time, I ended up with new Crites AA crossovers, ct-120 tweeters, A-55g mid drivers, Yamaha rxa1030, built a VTA ST-70 tube amp, Krell Kav-250p preamp, Kg4s, Marantz 2215, Yamaha 810, technics 1800 mk2, smsl dac, Anthem mca20, BenQ 3050 projector, 125” screen, Cornwalls, (3) heresies, and Forte II’s During this year I learned about the pro line. I became obsessed with all things klipsch through this fantastic forum and the klipsch groups on Facebook. The jubilee was always a pipe dream. With a little help from the man, Cory Harrison @ Paducah home theater, we made it reality. Sold off some stuff from my other hobbies and ordered a set of 2-way Jubes finished in walnut. 402/k691. Also a xilica 4080 dsp to run them. But why stop there? A KPT-1802-HLS would compliment them so well right? Well surely it would so I hit the buy button on one of them as well. A bridged crown 2002 to send awesome low frequency juice to the behemoth of a sub. The sub shipped out right away so I’ve been playing with it everyday. Learning a bit about the xilica and REW with my umik-1. It blends so seemlessly with khorns, that I can’t wait for the jubes to get here in a couple days. It has been a long hard wait from the time I asked to get them ordered to now. What a pleasure it will be to have another piece of PWK and Roy’s handy work sitting in my small living room.

  23. No Canadian Geese expert here but it seems they come back to the spot where they were raised each year and have their own babies ? Or it's different geese each year ? Three pair in the yard this year, usually just one or two pair with babies. We have about 12-15 that don't leave, they fly around each day trying to decide what pond to land in for the night, It might be them having babies ?

  25. We have the rock part covered ... Trees are large woody weeds until you water and train them. Pick one out and start to work. The mesquites respond to water very well and in 5 or 10 years you will have something you can trip over. They really want to be a big bush ... vertically challenged... like an apple tree Yesterday was the wife's b'day. She took the day of to run around. Decided to she wanted to buy a car. I have been squirreling some money for such. I check my balance and give her the card with $5000. I have my buddy take her. I don't get along with salespersons... She came home with a Nissan Versa Note. Ecobox. For our purposes, it will be good. Need to see it my Scalas will fit. Should with the seat down. The trick might be maneuvering them in. I was looking at the reviews of the car. Underpowered .. I expect that. The rest of the complaints were about the lack of tech stuff that I didn't want anyway. Figuring out the dash display... not intuitive for folks been driving a stone age car. 1989.. There was a cream puff Buick. 2007 Lucerne. 70,000 miles. and if it had the 3.8L instead of the 4.6L Northstar..... $5000 private party The only thing that made me look at her funny was the fact that she only tapped the card for $1000 and went with financing. ???? Her sister can stop making fun of the Olds. They call it a boat. For spite, I may throw some money at it. It has more miles than it is worth. Get rid of the doors, trunk lid and hood.... the running gear is good. We have the kid. Nana is napping. Spending money takes it out of her.

  28. Only saw him one time, it was local at The Moon in Tally, me and another big fan, the oyster champ. His 2 daughters were playing with him. It was around 2005...went backstage and spoke with his daughters. Beautiful and talented young ladies. He played with everyone from Clapton to Harrison, as you know. It was great watching him play the piano to Hummingbird, etc... Like Carney lp and with Marc Benno, and just remembered bud has a bunch of lp's of his...

  31. Good job Carl.....very tidy work. Our floor guy had to do something similar at LF's house with oak strip flooring. Ran new flooring perpendicular to the existing flooring around the hearth and 45ed the ends. Looks great.

  40. I used to work at a campground. There was the customary No Shirt No Shoes No Service sign. It was all self-serve anyway. And when the dancers moved to the park... Fishnet tops with 2in net. Why bother? They were wearing more when they strolled to the shower with nothing but a towel draped over their shoulder. I think I mentioned I used to hang with bikers and dated a house mother at a "gentlemen's club". I'm left handed, too. Poster child for ADHD. That PSA they were running, fit me to a "T". I grew out of it, sorta

  41. I'd start with listening to them as they are. The crossovers can be updated later. My guess is you won't notice a substantial difference after replacing capacitors. Don't be in a hurry to be disappointed. Enjoy them as you got them, at least for a few months.
