Bicycles are not too appealing to me, here. Too hilly. I did get some exercise. Dug a bed to plant basil in. ... and wondering why my back is yakking at me. clean dirt, though.4 points

No problem if I was the bank of Full Range 😇 I had two 401s at one time, and sold the other unit for $800 AU about 10 years ago I still have a Revox TT and a Thorens TD147 as my spare units3 points

I have. But what I really only noticed now was this: Cover art[edit] The gatefold cover art for Eve by Hipgnosis features three women wearing veils (two on the front, one on the reverse), with their faces partially in shadow. The shadows and veils partially conceal disfiguring scars and sores (the lesions were not real, however[9]). Controversy over the disfiguring of the models' faces brought comment from Eric Woolfson, "The cover seemed a mis-match to me. It was a brilliant cover from Hipgnosis, but it didn't reflect my thinking at all, or relate to what is made clear on the Record."[10] I only saw it first when I looked at the gatefold-cover of my LP, CD is too small to notice...3 points

I am selling my Klipsch Forte II's in walnut oil due to moving to a smaller listening space so I have no room for them. The Forte II's have the Crites titanium tweeter diaphragms and updated Crites crossovers. I still have the receipts. Also I have the old tweeter diaphragms if someone chooses to replace them. They still sound beautiful. I also have the grills but I forgot to take pictures so I will do that later. I am the second the owner and you will see there a couple of scratches on the speaker. Also, the original owner installed grilles over the passive radiator and those are in great shape. I live in Plainfield, IL and will be happy to audition them. At the moment I am not considering shipping them. If you need additional pictures please let me know. I am selling these for $900 so please reach out if you have any questions.2 points

Welcome to the Forum. First, what receiver do you have and does it have a phono input? It seems like you are saying that you stripped the wires from the turntable to the receiver? I’m assuming that is a mistake, as the turntable outputs should be rca male jacks that need a phono input on your receiver. if your receiver doesn’t have a phono input that is your problem. @Lowsidr you have the 3rd option which was nailed Dealer installed trim & speaker grilles from a non-Decorator 1976-77 Klipsch Cornwall with black Duracrest fabric + the klipsch copper Laser badge, congrats , BTW ,your speakers have the the k-77 Tweeter + Midrange Alnico drivers , meaning they sound fantastic2 points

Tune that thing. The ECM is prohibited from moving more than a couple percent from OEM EPA settings regardless. It cannot make up for a straight pipe.2 points

I hear ya. I was prepared to just redo the black but wanted to see how I’d do naturalizing the wood. I’m like you where oak isn’t my first choice—I’ve always been keen to walnut. You also probably have ash underneath yours which looks fantastic with some light stain and/ or a lacquer like this guy did to his Chorus, given the cabs aren’t all tore up. I may do my CF4s up like that someday. I actually wanted to attempt a redo this go around and learn some stuff. The tops of one of these would’ve been a perfect candidate for a new veneer. I’d like to try my hand at veneering should another one of these opportunities come along.2 points

I took my bicycle to the lake today, cycled a good 30 miles, the sun was shining, it was warm, now I have a sunburn on my face and sore muscles in my legs, but I feel good, it was fun!2 points

@Full Rangestarted this over in the youtube thread and now I'm here on a mission. Cookin again. Dream Theater is sooo much like "Yes" was back in the day. Factor in the 60 years I've been around and I kinda shake my head but... Yes on steroids perhaps? I have a ton of their stuff so I was nosin and scored one ready to unzip. Yes Sir, 3lps callin my name. Round and round they go. "Once in a LIVE time" Once in a LIVEtime is the second live album by American progressive metal band Dream Theater, released in 1998. It is their second live release. It was produced and recorded by Kevin Shirley during the European leg of the Touring into Infinity world tour, at the Bataclan theater in Paris. Jay Beckenstein of Spyro Gyra plays alto saxophone on "Take Away My Pain". Enjoy! You're going feel like ya just jogged 5 miles all in the comfort of your living room. Then ya begin the ride. You'll be smiling! Goals, remember Goals.... 😂1 point

Started by finding a central measuring point from cone surround to the new cap's perimeter. Centered it was 1". Then marked where the cap perimeter would sit with masking tape using that measurement. Next, took a long cut of masking tape, folded it, sticking it together, leave for the last inch or so to form a grip point for the cap's center for lowering it into place. Came out pretty well I'd say!1 point

Caps are in. I was worried about the .29” looking obscenely large on the cone but it’s not bad, I’m actually happy with it. If we’re splitting hairs, the OEMs are smooth and therefore glossier, these are very finely textured giving them a more satin appearance. Cones still need a wiping, but we’re at the end here. Just need to button everything back up.1 point

I do not think it was built for Shakey or anyone else. I believe it was one built by him for him long before he accepted money from members here to build them an amplifier. My thoughts are Shakey just got tired of all his BS and excuses when he made that statement. I do not believe there was ever an amp started for a member here by CBH. Not an honorable guy is my thought.1 point

You would probably be better off with a pair of MWM bass bins and some large modern horns for the mids/tweeter.1 point

Dear Forum, in restoring the finish on my KG1.5 and reading on this forum, a question came up for me. I read a lot about upgrading tweeters on the larger KGs, are there possibilities to upgrade the tweeter of the 1.5 (i believe they were K86ks)? Sound of my pair is still fine, no need for action yet, i´m just interested and asking. André1 point
