  1. Got the contract for the new apartment since monday , working hard to move from the house to the new life , glad that the troubble with the wife is under control now, because I´m living in another town . Lot´s of handcraftet and creative works are challing me , it makes fun and I´m in a quiet good mood since I left the house. Picking up my belongings step by step , will take a while till the new apartment is ready. I´m sleeping there allready , bought an airbed with electrical air filling system

  2. Funny, after my doctor broke out the liquid nitrogen on me again yesterday morning I topped off the tank drove 9 hours Northwest and it's warmer up here than it was back down in NC! Change of scenery was called for and I'm going to rest my sore left bottom rib for a couple days.

  22. Les Paul and Mary Ford version of Alabamy Bound Les goes into some guitar acrobatics History of that song is Alabamy Bound" is a Tin Pan Alley tune written in 1924, with music by Ray Henderson and words by Buddy DeSylva and Bud Green. It was popularized by Al Jolson and included in the musical Kid Boots, where it was sung by Eddie Cantor. Successful recordings of the song were released in 1925 by Paul Whiteman, Isham Jones and Fletcher Henderson, as well as Blossom Seeley, whose vocal version reached number 2 on the charts.

  25. @AndreG. common thread is Mike Porntoy on drums. Zero better today imo. He plays in quite a few different groups like The Winery Dogs and others. Research him and you'll understand it a bit more. He can roll with ANYone at ANYtime and does. Check him out on this clip with the Dogs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M5Sv2ceDCe0 and this old one!

  33. First post, new here Second owner. These have been sitting in an unoccupied house since mid 1980. All were face down when stored. Brought them home, tested and then cleaned them up. Transported by trailer to a party spot and rocked the shoreline at the lake all day (Great Day For Sure). They absolutley are the real deal. Almost 100 percent sure that everything is original with no mods. I made the logo plates on front of bass bins and added the casters. Was limited on pics here so just two at this point ( I have more). One of speaks and one on lake day. I really want to keep but no room in 2 car garage lol. Was really hoping that they would go to a old school band or some venue that would keep them alive for what they are. $4500 obo Located Central Coast of California 805-712-2917 Text (Ray) Not posted anywhere else at this point, wanted to keep in the Klipsch family......

  34. Teasin the neighbors today! In a Silent Way is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, composer, and bandleader Miles Davis, released on July 30, 1969, on Columbia Records. Produced by Teo Macero, the album was recorded in one session date on February 18, 1969, at CBS 30th Street Studio in New York City. Macero edited and arranged Davis's recordings from the session to produce the album. Marking the beginning of his "electric" period, In a Silent Way has been regarded by music writers as Davis's first fusion recording, following a stylistic shift toward the genre in his previous records and live performances. Ahhhhmaaazing! It's a ride and a half!

  35. They are as classic sounding as Klipsch speakers! I am giving up my guitar playing and have three remaining vintage Martins from my collection. **1948 000-18 in good for $5900 **1973 0-16NY in mint condition for $2400 **1968 0-16NY in great condition for $2000 I don't want to clog up the Klipsch airwaves with this stuff. Travis was kind enough to let me post it. So, if you have any interest in these, send me a PM and I can link you to my G-drive with all the pics and so forth. All guitars are fully playable, and none of them need neck resets or fretwork. They are all original to the best of my knowledge. They come with cases, but not original cases. Pictured is the 1973.

  40. RIP Scott. I knew Scott only from several Pilgrimages and always enjoyed his humor and stories about his hometown of ElDorado. Many of you know about his generosity to the Museum and cookies at The Pilgrimage, but his family was also very generous to the city of ElDorado, donating the land for Yocum Elementary there many years ago. I have tried to post his obituary below which, if you knew him, you will find heartwarming as it is full of pictures of family and friends. henry-yocum-7871661.html

  44. Thanks for the the heads-up on the EBay single near Houston. I messaged him a week ago for more pictures and info. There is a pretty large gouge in front top corner that would require quite a bit of work, like Duratex and filler. If no luck here, I may explore having a cabinet made and tracking down the components. I have a pair of K-33s to start. I seem to have weakness for orphaned speakers.
