Hiya @Klipsch104db like your setup that you exposed here a lot lately! That record? Couldn't decide if it as their best after it came out. In the long run decided that "Powerage" was still their greatest!!5 points

A guy walked into the local welfare office to pick up his check. He marched straight up to the counter and said,"Hi. You know...., I just HATE drawing welfare. I'd really rather have a job." The social worker behind the counter said, "Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a Chauffeur and bodyguard for his beautiful daughter. You'll drive his 2024 Mercedes-Benz CL and he will supply all of your clothes. "Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll also be expected to escort the daughter on her overseas holiday trips. This is rather awkward to say, but you will also as part of your job description have to satisfy her sexual urges. The daughter is in her mid-20's and has a rather strong sex drive." The guy in wide-eyed amazement said, "You're bullshittin' me!" The social worker said: "Yeah, well ... You started it".5 points

Wrong tweeter, no problem. Different brand cap and it’s a klipsch crisis. Gotcha.5 points

True but Bryan couldn't fill the empty shoes that were left down under Left something for you in the yt thread!4 points

Thanks. The center piece has to be the 1990 La Scalas. I changed the crossovers to Crites Type A-4500 and Crites T-125 tweeters. I think Highway to Hell is their best release. And without that album, Black in Black probably wouldn't be the hit it was.4 points

Just in case @Klipsch104db doesn't have it yet! And because i wanted to hear it again too!4 points

@billybob Sold out in Akron, Pitts and Ky already and they're in July I think. I might slide up to Akron and hit the back door. THAT would be a hoot. I'd get some pics of that one cause Mark wouldn't care. We'll see when the time comes. Could be a good day or a bad day. Blah. lol4 points

Livingston Taylor, Karla Bonoff and Sean McCue. Just delightful. I saw Livingston (James Taylor's brother) years ago. Linda Ronstadt recorded this one of Karla's. https://youtu.be/ZDM5qW6i4kc?si=QF1CRerWy7FD9BYH4 points

I found a deal on a used CW4. Black Ash. So I will have them in my home soon. Excited! I know I know, I should never buy without listening. But looking forward to the discovery. I know that tubes are probably the best amp option, but I love the look of the McIntosh MA8950 integrated amp in my rack, and the 200 watts is probably overkill. I suppose at some point I will just use the preamp section of the 8950 and put a tube amp in the system. Again thanks for the input everyone.4 points

Congrats. I have been a Sansui fan for a while. I have not had the 5000x or any of the older receivers except for the 9090db. I have had the G8700 and I still have the G8000 and it's a keeper. The CA/BA and older AU7700, AU7900, etc sound great too.3 points

my bad ... it is Free the Peach c/p A throng of thongs showed up to support the "Free the Peach" movement in Australia this morning to "peachfully" protest a ban on wearing thongs off the beach.2 points

Save the peach? Seriously? Showing my age again. You could be on to something. Lil notes written backwards so the good looking female driver to read at the next stop light. IF they have their make-up on and look in the mirror. Cell numbers w/HMU? Ya got that land of cactus thought processor werkin this morning. I'm still on the coffee while watchin a big ole smoked ham shank boil down. Looks like bean soup is on the menu this week. Got the WM golf tournament on TV waitin on the crazies to go ballistic. Looks like a beautiful day out there today.2 points

skimming thru the yahoo "news" ... in Australia, there is a Save the Peach movement. Someone was offended by g-string bathing suits and trying to make them illegal. Save the Peach is the pushback ------------------------------- I see kia is advertising a digital grill ... so you can pesonalize I can see all kinds of fun coming from this. From ads to looking like a mack truck.... and then come the hackers LOL2 points

And to fill in a gap or two in this thread: Howards has a driver now. When he posted, 'BubbleCub' claimed to have what he needed. To me, it looked like BubbleCub was a scammer, but I was locked up in the forum's slammer and couldn't do anything except watch the crime through the iron bars. Marvil was up and he asked BubbleCub for pictures. I PMed Howards and gave him a heads-up about responding to email deals. I have a few drivers here and sent one to Howards and he is to pay me back for the cost of shipping. FF a day or two later, BubbleCub responded to 3 other Garage Sale WTB ads. He claimed to have everything that everyone needed: Quartet risers, a pair of CF3, and a K55 driver. I PM Travis with my thoughts and Travis tossed out the scammer.2 points

Congratulations. I would listen to and enjoy the Macintosh at my leisure. You can always buy another amp, a tube amp. But what's wrong with your amp? Even if the CW4 has high sensitivity, it will still thank the amp for its good bass control. So first listen to what you have. And the SQ in all frequency ranges is proverbial with Mcintosh, whether solid state or tube.2 points

How about a pic of the rest of the speaker??? Before the Heresy there was a short run of the Model H. I took this pic at the Hope factory museum. There were only 18 made and sold.1 point
