  2. I was too young to understand their Muisc while they were a Supergroup , so I bought the first 4 Records when I was older. A couple of weeks ago I spun them all and I must admit they´re still a Supergroup

  6. I added some HEIL AMTs to my 2 way UG Jubes. Only using right now at 5kHz and above. Definitely adds some air. Even with the 402s already having TADs

  10. Yup, back to the crib and caught a couple more hours. 68 today and they called for rain. Rain it did. Thunder, lightning and ponding in the yards. I heard it and went back to sleep. Been spinning since.

  13. The speakers have probably seems some stuff, but man is that a good deal for someone in Maryland! https://www.ebay.com/itm/296271676024?mkevt=1&mkpid=0&emsid=e11021.m43.l3160&mkcid=7&ch=osgood&euid=de38d84f7cd04717845aa25e3bd7412a&bu=43126147563&ut=RU&osub=-1~1&crd=20240306013359&segname=11021

  15. I do it in my music room. You'll want a preamp. Adjusting volume and tone with a laptop is slow and frustrating. I feed a Mackie 402 mixer from my laptop with 1/8" headphone to phono cables. The Mackie feeds various mics and the laptop to my Yamaha receiver. It drives KG2s or Heresy IVs and sometimes a subwoofer. My audio path is all analog; the D/A voodoo is all in the laptop. The sound quality from CDs is very good. Try it, I think you'll be pleased. Some of you would be appalled at the gear The Chief uses to demo speakers in the lab, including Jubilees.

  16. if you dont have dogs, like me, I suggest moving them on axis directly in front of the front beauty panel... You won't get 'smearing' by having them off axis like I do, but there is some small alignment mismatch... though it's fairly insignificant.

  17. @mikebse2a3 the AMTs were $250 a pair with mounting kit. I figured what the heck. I have wanted to play with a tweeter to go along with the 2 ways for a long time. I am currently driving with a Crown D75 that's about 45 watts a channel into 4 ohms which the AMTs are. It is fairly easy to exhaust the D75s output while trying to keep up with the Jubes. I need a bigger amp

  21. Forte IIs here going on about 23 years with them and they've been through a few moves and in several different listening spaces. The best ever was an older home with hardwood floors and high ceilings about 16x25 ft. Have carpet in current home and they still sound great. I've been using a Scott tube amp which I think has 17 watts per chan. I've never felt it was insufficient power but really have nothing to compare it to. No way to really "audition" something these days without just buying it. I think the Fortes's are pretty forgiving and lend themselves to a wide array of music styles and environments. The passive radiators allow for plenty of base. I've never felt bass-starved with them. They don't have the prestige of other Heritage models but are a really good value for the money if you can find a nice pair. I did have a chance to hear Chorus IIs at one point and they were also amazing.

  22. I didn't light a fire last night. It's a little cool. About 40` outside... 55 - 60 indoors. Sun will be up in an hour or so, going for 75` ... I think I'll leave the coffee on the warmer. I was busy yesterday. Drove wife to work. Cut some weeds, vacuumed. Cooked dinner. I'm done for the week ... I wish

  25. Can't forget this one! "The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" is the title track from the 1971 album by British rock band Traffic, written by Jim Capaldi and Steve Winwood. Despite never being released as a single due to its long duration, it became a staple of North American AOR-format FM radio stations in the 1970s and still receives airplay on classic rock radio today.

  26. 75 here in Duckburg and the spring ritual has begun! My 1974 1st press of Utiopia sounds great! Todd Rundgren's Utopia is the debut album by the American rock band Utopia, released in October 1974 on Bearsville Records. The band was formed in 1973 by musician, songwriter, and producer Todd Rundgren who decided to expand his musical style by moving from pop-oriented rock towards progressive rock. He assembled a six-piece group that featured three keyboardists and toured as a live act. Most of the album was recorded in the studio except "Utopia", the opening track, which was recorded live in concert November 3rd,1973. The album peaked at number 34 on the Billboard 200 and critical reaction towards it was mixed.[4] Hair of the Dog is the sixth studio album by the Scottish hard rock band Nazareth, released on 3 April 1975. The album was recorded at Escape Studios, Kent, with additional recording and mixing at AIR Studios, London, and is the group's best known and highest selling release, with over two million copies sold worldwide.[3] After three albums with Deep Purple's Roger Glover producing, Manny Charlton stepped into that position, one he filled for several subsequent albums. Black Sabbath from 1972? You go Ozzy! 😂💪 Vol. 4 is the fourth studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in September 1972. It was the first album by Black Sabbath not produced by Rodger Bain; guitarist Tony Iommi assumed production duties. Patrick Meehan, the band's then-manager, was listed as co-producer, though his actual involvement in the album's production was minimal. 💪

  27. I use my sub for music and ht. I don’t always analyze everything about my stereo components. I am usually drawn to whatever sounds best to my ears, only. The HSU sub I had provided great deep bass and sounded good with HT but the REL blends better with my Forte IVs then my HSU ever did when listening to music. Maybe the REL hype is just that but… the REL sub disappears and you only hear the Fortes with that deep lower register no t present without the sub.

  30. Is anybody interested in a private jet flight for 6 people to Las Vegas to see the 49ers and Chiefs play in the Super Bowl?! I'm still looking for 3-4 more people to join us. We can leave Saturday, Feb 10th from the Minneapolis airport…and will fly to Vegas where we will stay through the game on Sunday and then fly home Monday AM. If interested please PM me. Preferably someone with a private jet and tickets to the game, otherwise we can't go.

  35. My ebay found 1960 Heresy arived today. This is one nice looking speaker I already had a 1959 thats real close diffrent wood and grill but same drivers. I think I'll use them as front and rear centers with some old khorns or maybe In two diffrent stereo sytems. I has to bid on this one as you dont see them very often.

  38. Well I lucked out and won the Model H I thought it might go up a lot higher in price. Now I have a pair. One of these day I'll have to post my Heresy collection . This model h is very rare only ever seen three two of wich I Now own and the third a raw basic model with out trim. This model H has the larger cabnet Same as the late heresy but it has the 104 db crossover wich mates it as a center for Khorns. The bass output alone is rather weak with out a khorn or shorthorn ect. Still I'm happy to have a pair maybe even iff the bass is weak can always add a khorn.

  39. I have the same Model H from a early 1959 Klipsch 3 way set with one short horn, one khorn and the model h all A matching set. I hope to win the one on ebay to make a pair. They were voiced to keep up with the khorn, So there is no bass when played solo. The h in moedl h stands for heresy.

  40. Anyone have a good gold cap tuner dial and nob caps for a 310e? My mint 310e came without the gold caps on all dials. It looks like they never had them as the brown dials have postion marks. It could be a early or late model before or after the gold caps.anyway i like the look with the gold caps.

  42. Dam they have shot up in value. And to think I bought my mint 310e on ebay 2.5 years ago for only 200 and it still plays strong without any work. I have to admit it does pull in the stations from far and wide.
