  1. no change in interconnects? sadly missing from eh2's list in his post even though it can be the most common occurrence of this type noise.
  2. 3D printing... rapid prototyping allows for many design changes with very short lead times and more importantly, very precise repeatability using a variety of raw materials.
  3. great words dean^... I always try and equate what I hear to other things in life that help ILLUSTRATE what it is I am trying to convey. therefore, for me, it always takes the form of a visual. when I say the music is more "clear" I might reference looking at a low resolution photograph versus one of much higher Pixel depth... higher resolution or more resolved, eg: LESS noise. and I wholeheartedly agree that there are two kinds of brightness in music and they are easy to distingush... One kind of brightness makes you want to turn TOWARDS the sound source, to embrace the sound... the other kind of brightness makes you want to TURN AWAY from the sound because it's painful, or annoyingly poor.
  4. I think I have seen those for sale before... not that it matters.
  5. I like the "hearing less" comment... I understand it perfectly. as the signal becomes more focused and clear, there is less extrainious noise caused by distortion... hearing less. YM... it's not a big deal, don't feel obligated. we were all just very excited and I think most all of us realize, this modification could only be a good thing. when I did my review of the CW/Jupiter upgrade... no one gave a shyte. now, with a lack of a comprehensive review (up until now), it seemed the world was going to end.
  6. I agree dean... you do walk a very fine line and thankfully those at klipsch ALLOW us to use there site and partake in this discourse freely and without obligation.
  7. I am not sure how the whole OBLIGATION issue has even entered into the equation... we're all understandably curious and excited about a 7ii enhancement. That is what is driving our interest.
  8. lol... I figured as much. only one prototype was built? has Klipsch ever thoguht about a "Custom" program? build to specification.... kind of like Martin Guitars does with thier custom guitar build program... choice of woods, choice of finish, choice of configuration.
  9. I'm saddened... are the plans available somewhere? just curious, I always wanted to see the insides.
  10. Take your time buddy... get well and take care of what's really important.
  11. I want to know what ahppened to this piece as it's obviously not going into production anytime soon. Where is the console itself... and if it would ever make it onto the market as a one off? Has anyone ever seen the plans for this piece?
  12. Thanks dave. In the original post, the OP claimed much better midrange detail was. Accomplished by replacing the OEM LF driver with the eminence unit... the two seem unrelated to me unless somehow there is president for LF distortion plaguing mid range detail. You guys are much smarter on this stuff than I am so that why I am bringing it up. The most obvious part of this replacement is OP's claim it's a better driver... well duh.
  13. Where do we stand here YM? Are you and D still working out some things?
  14. yeah... but the question was, it enriches the midrange by creating more definition. is that even possible based merely on some slightly less messureable distortion is the LF section?
  15. eh... more clutter, I can see why he wants to get rid of them.
  16. I would love to demo a set of those. demo... step up and buy a pair. dean needs to survive also. Volti OP? seriously consider Fastrack there.
  17. a man with a tape recorder up his brothers nose...
  18. i'm not even going to answer the quesion because it's ridiculous.
  19. just put them up for sale... someone will buy them and enjoy them.
  20. he already sold some 37's... bought another pair... now he's sell those. I R Confused also but who are we to throw the first rock...
