  1. Maybe. Ever notice how a 15-inch never really measures 15 inches of moving surface? Goes for any size. You'd need to use real sizes to tell.
  2. I use Heresy II as sides and KPT-100 as rears to save space. Works great for me.
  3. psg

    sub in ceiling.

Upload jpg format to photobucket. bmp files are huge anyway, a waste of storage for you and of bandwidth for everyone else.
  4. psg

    sub in ceiling.

Load it in any image program (e.g. paint) and SAVE AS a jpeg file. In Linux, I'd do: $ gm convert file.bmp file.jpg
  5. My concern is having KHorns on a 15-foot wall, putting the sweet spot only 7.5 feet into the room where nobody is sitting. Mine are 20 feet apart and converge on the first row. Perhaps La Scala would be a better choice? The Spuds can handle the low end anyway.
  6. I don't think I ever heard true imaging before I spread my La Scala out and toed them in like KHorns, with one of them in a corner. I get the same imaging with speakers disappearing from the room with KHorns. So for me they image better than a quality speaker positioned out in the room.
  7. Then you can't be starting of at 1/4 W if peaks are 60 dB higher (One million times higher at 250 000 W). I'd believe it if you started out at 0.00025 W with peaks one million times higher at 250W.
  8. The demo on their web site is not subtle at all.
  9. I have the original model. You will love it outdoors!
  10. I'm with jason str and Claude on this one. A horn-loaded sub with a Klipschorn makes a 4-way fully horn-loaded system.
  11. Welcome to the club! And nice use of tags on that post!
  12. I can see why that would happen! Watched it last night. There's no upper LFE to speak off, but my ceiling (and entire house really) was creaking in a weird way that I never experienced before and I could feel weird in my pants myself. Very low frequencies, and my system drops like a rock at 18 Hz. I can imagine the DTS-10 and IB people giving it an amazing review!
  13. Maine could be close, depending on where in Maine.
  14. They should outlaw those peanuts...
  15. I would think a lateral move at best, being that they are all DeanG'ed (is that a adjective now?)
  16. Pacific Rim? As good as the bed sheet looks, you will love a screen!
  17. Funny, they claim 12 Hz for the 46 lbs ForceField 5, and then link to a review where the measurements say: The ForceField 5’s close-miked response, normalized to the level at 80 Hz, indicates that the lower –3-dB point is at 24 Hz and the –6-dB point is at 21 Hz. When you look at the graph, you see a bump around 60 Hz and the 25-40 Hz response is a plateau 5 dB below that peak. They must disregard the 60 Hz bump to read 21 Hz at -6 dB. In any case, it's already 10 dB down at 20 Hz so forget about 12 Hz.
  18. Yeah, sure is nice to push the on button and have it come on exactly right.
  19. Gotcha, way above my league! My projector is bolted upside-down onto a 1/2" birch plywood, which is bolted into 2x4" secured to the joist:
  20. Dunno, but a weak one might do that with an RW-12D! My projector is pretty much bolted directly into the joists (see pics kin signature) and nothing ever came out of the THT to make it visibly vibrate like that.
