  1. Just plug it in with your other gear and light up those meters so people can come over and ask you what the Hel! is that. Just looking at the pictures gives me flashbacks of spending countless hours recording music while blowing 5-7 bucks a piece on good blank cassette tape.
  2. I already did chime in, but I'll do it again.[] I own 7's Corn 2's and Cornscala's that are pretty extreme and like I said, they all sound great and I've run them side by side and my 7's are still the heart of my "matching" HT RF set up and are used more for 2 channel than HT and if there were some drastic difference I would have already moved the Cornscala and Cornwalls and Heresy's into position for HT and had an entire heritage HT, but I didn't and that's all I'm going to say about that. LOL KEEP YOUR 7's
  3. IMO, keep the 7's in the matched system and if down the road you fall into a set of Corn's (1,2 or 3) then set up another 2 channel rig and enjoy those too. I say this having 7's, Corns and many others and most of them were acquired chasing my tail for something that was drastically better, but in the end I just decided to enjoy what each of them bring to the table, since they all put a big fat smile on my face. There's always going to be better, but chasing it takes away from enjoying what you turn on and listen to.
  4. Welcome to the forum! This is one nice build and I hope to have half of that shop some day. Can't wait to see the finished project.[Y]
  5. I think you would do it if you could find the driver.
  6. Moral of the story:1. Always have a back up receiver or amp so when a piece doesn't work it's not as bad until it's fixed. 2. Some people are just dic& heads and you can't get away with tazing them. Can't believe the ticket for that, what an as@. 3. At times it's better to place a piece of tape over the check engine light and keep on moving down the road. 4. Aways have booze available when you just are having one of those days.[] Have a great Christmas anyway!
  7. If a few decorations on your speakers keep you in Jubs and some big KPT subs (if memory serves me correct) and other nice gear, then so be it, even the disco ball. LOL
  8. Fantastic looking dogs and I hate looking at this thread because it makes me want to go get a few but I know that I still have too much other stuff going on right now. Keep the progress photos coming.[Y]
  9. First of all, welcome to the forum but I've got to know...........................would that be Wendy's, Burger King, Sonic or another fast food lobby as we all know how much their size can differ. LMFAO
  10. Maybe in Canada it's legal to do that to Klipsch speakers but here in the U.S. you could wind up in jail or worse. LMAO, that's just wrong and I really hope that the GF doesn't see these pictures since I keep telling her that she's never allowed to put anything on my speakers.[] Then again, I do have a couple of KP250's stacked as an end table with a lamp on, but those are KP's and they were built for that. Merry Christmas!
  11. You are moving right along! For not being a wood worker you already found the use for pocket screws that you will come to use on many projects.
  12. Fantastic deals if you need, say, a disposable grinder for $7. For a small job, purchase 3 or 4... I purchased a rotary hammer for around $50 about 10 years ago for a job that I had to drill 10 holes and didn't want to drive back to the shop (80 miles) to get the Bosch. It made it through the drilling and was still working but I intentionally left it for the customer to find so I wouldn't be tempted to think it might possibly make it through another job because it was a real POS, but I never forgot the Bosch again.
  13. And you're "Cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs" I'm shocked that you sold this set up after the time, effort and results, but I guess you have to make room for the new and your buyer got a great deal. So when's your next build thread?[]
  14. None that I have ever noticed, but if they exist, I have a feeling that I may have crossed a line a time or two, so I'm just going with none.
  15. So, how many sub builds does this put you at? If I had to build on the floor it would take longer to stand up than it would to secure the panel. Something you may want to consider due to the limited space would be to take an area on an outside wall and hinge a couple of plywood drop panels that can be flat against the wall and off the floor when you're not working but with a couple of pivoting legs would simply drop down for a large work table but could also be set up for a landing table and feed table for your small table saw. I will try and get some pictures and send them to you that show what I'm talking about but I did it for my shop table saw and it allows me to rip anything I want including 4x8 sheets of plywood without any hassle safely, quickly and when I'm done they just fold up and don't take up floor space.
  16. What's your opinion as to their possible application in a KP250 that is already ported?
  17. +1, the Baltic birch is a better choice than any other plywood I have used because it is void free and is readily available with a lot more plys than your other choices which make it stronger and as stated above, will accept fasteners better than anything else (that I have used).
  18. I will have to try that on an old pair of RP3's that need some attention.
  19. Nice set up and what a beast of a sub.
  20. It may not be your ultimate sub, but I'll guarantee it will take you into the next realm of listening to music. Can't wait for the post!
  21. Just some thought that I'm sure will get some different opinions on, but I remember back in the day before I had great subs, I really thought that I had some killer 2 channel set ups and they really reproduced the bass properly, but that's not really the case (for me anyway). For the last couple of years I've played around about every 4 months listening to straight 2 channel with 7's, Corwalls, Cornscala's and RP's with and without a sub and the difference is astounding. If anyone is out there with a good set of mains and doesn't have a good sub and think that you've found nirvana, I would beg you to get into a good sub and enter the playground again. For those of you that have a sub or subs in the chain, if you haven't turned the subs off in a while you should, and you will see that every time you do, your appreciation for that sub will grow by leaps and bounds. Just enjoying the music and thought I would share, a little Dave Matthews cranking up loud and life is good!

    What I Got Today!

Then this is what you need.
  23. I would think twice about moving it to the bedroom because when that thing starts thumping, you might be replaced and have to sleep on the couch.[]

    What I Got Today!

4 more contracts to build homes that will guarantee one more month of profitability for the year! Drill baby drill (reference to gas exporation going on in the areas that I build)
  25. Congratulations! I looked at that model a couple of times and it had a very nice picture and you got a good deal, can't wait to hear your impressions at home changing from the MIT/DLP, I've moved my old one to the basement and find it difficult to go from the new one to the old one as there is such a major difference.
