  1. So I am looking to put together a small "micro" system (onkyo cr type) to leave on in the day time while I am gone to help keep my dog company. Don't like leaving all of the big equipment running while away.   7. I ran an HK 3490 through a pair of RF-7's for a very short time (less than a week) and hated it... For lack of a better term, SHRILL. I thought my ears would start to bleed and any moment.
  8. My OCD combined with a strong bit of perfectionism has forced me to settle on an RDV-1040 until I can find my 1072. Matching separates is mandatory due to previously mentioned disorders LOL - $117 shipped...

  10. I ran a pair of 7's bi-amped with very good results. Had a Yamaha M-80 on LF (250 wpc) and a small Rotel (50 wpc) going to the horns. It really mellowed the horns out at high volume levels. The 7's are power hungry monsters and can take just about all you woul d ever want to give em'. I could go on & on... Yes, you will benefit from bi-amping, if you do it right Oh, and Welcome to the Forum, Sweeko! Rock on ♪ ♫ ♪

  21. Most likely, I am misunderstanding your predicament. You have thought of this already or it is just not an option. What I do understand is your current player will not stream from internet? I have "chromecast" in my bedroom and it is limited to set sources. My question, or thought, is why don't you just stream straight from your laptop or computer? That way you may hear anything and everything you want. I go straight from my laptop into 2-channel with very good results. For some reason I am having a bad feeling this has nothing to do with your problem???
  22. Hi Greg, I can not comment on the diaphragm question. I can however mention my experience with the Forte II woofer replacement. I replaced the woofers in my Forte's with Crites upgrades ($225 pair). The upgrade resulted in an outstanding difference. Much better low end and increased "punch", for lack of a better word. The replacements took everything a 200 wpc Adcom could throw Just thought I throw this out there... ♪ ♫ ♪
