  1. I'm not an electrician either but from talking to electricians and my home designer and builing code officials when I built my home the spirit of the code is safety. Therefore when you enter a room in the dark there needs to be a switch that either a): turns on an overhead ceiling light or b): a switched outlet that presumably you will plug a lamp into. IOW @tigerwoodKhorns your ideas are fine. In my home I make that switch that turns on the light a Lighted switch which to me means "You want light? Push Here"
  2. La Scala was designed as a public address speaker for a Rockefeller Arkansas gubernatorial campaign in 1964. How much bass do you get from this:
  3. Didn't make it all the way to midnight last night. I kinda like it that when the ball drops in New Yawk it's only 9pm here. But woke up this morning and it's 2018! Happy New year to all.
  4. Think about it. When an amplifier is used in bridged mode both channels are driving the same load but in opposite polarities. So when one output is say at +10volts the other is at -10 volts. So what does the output that is at +10 volts see? Given a 4 ohm load it sees it has to drive 5 amps into the load because the total voltage across the load is 20 volts. So effectively the output has to drive twice the current than the 4 ohm load would suggest if driven to ground. So effectively the loads impedance is cut in half.

  8. Um yea and you don't want to read an open circuit either.
  9. Ya mean like the speakers in those Fender amps?
  10. @JaiseS Just a guess here..... perhaps the control is dis connected? I have RSW-15s and I think the 12 is very similar. The passive radiator in the front behind the grill is easily removed. Then you should be able to check if the volume control is hooked up. Or if it is indeed connected you can un hook it and check it out. If you're not up to it many have had great success with Edwards Electronics for repairing these subs. Find them on Ebay I believe.
  11. Were her calls going to Pakistan or India? Jeesh...They're doing you a favor taking your money?
  12. Merry Christmas to all. Hey it's still early out here. Enjoying a few cups with Irish Cream Liqueur. Trying to work up the gumption to fire up the waffle iron. It was only 78 -80 degrees here yesterday not to Christmassy. But today looks a little cooler and overcast. Best wishes to all.
