  1. Do these grown men actually get paid money to come up with this nonsense? Like I said before pure BS, of course IMHO. Hack off your arm and as you bleed to death tell me how simulated you are.
  2. Thebes, There are certain tasks which one must have a scope to troubleshoot. Analog AC waveform signal tracing is one of them very near the top of the list. Sure you might get lucky and fix it with just a meter, heck you might just shake a loose connection on one of the tube sockets and fix it. For noise and hum issues it is best to work from the output back towards the input. But for no signal or weak signal I prefer the "halfway" approach. Apply an input signal and there is no or little output. Pick the spot in your estimation (from schematics hopefully) that is "halfway" between input and output. Is there signal there? 1) No, then you know it is closer to the input so go "halfway" again towards the input. Or 2)Yes there was signal "halfway" you know the problem is closer to the output so go "halfway" again towards the output. etc......etc.......etc.......
  3. What a bunch of BS. I am a figment of someones imagination. Pure BS
  4. Watch out for that carlooch guy, he'll have you building an IB sub or some monster horn
  5. The dogs (and coyotes) are howling in my neighborhood
  6. So Arash, who's horns are these?
  7. Ah...better be the cats pajamas for 900 bones
  8. Thanks Dave. The craftsmanship and attention to detail in your work is very impressive. :emotion-21: on Dave's work. ALKs networks too. Mancave Man, any comments on what changes the new woofer made?
  9. My company does. And it is not a profit center. Although we hope the good will generates more sales.
  10. Ah... I'm ignorant as far as these things (MWMs I mean) go but can't a person still buy these from Klipsch brand new? 30 grand?
  11. Isn't that from the beetles?
  12. Dear God man it's just RTV (Dow Corning 732) Black (Christ, next time I'll use Grey). I'm of the less technical here so bear with me. Is this structural, to reduce vibration or have some other purpose? Its got to survive the KHorn good vibrations
  13. Still readily available. Finding them in the same place with an RC is harder...though RC remains available in the big grocery stores. Dave Shoulda checked before blurbing. Sorry my bad. But .... its been forever since I had one
  14. And may you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you're dead.
  15. I remember those, they were awesome…and the milk man. Looks like you can still get these, but not by a guy driving a "Charles Chips" truck to your front door. UPS maybe.
  16. From post #37 I'm still waitng for an explanation why wrapping a shielded wire in another layer of conductive material (foil) that I assume is not grounded helps to dissipate static discharges. Anybody?
  17. ES300? As in crossover from bass to mid at 300Hz? Really? Why? GotHover, are you on board with this?
  18. MercedesBerater, Is your amp rack a standard 19" rack? They sell blank panels cheap to fill the holes And whose rack couldn't use one of these: http://www.funklogic.com/palindrometer
  19. ^excellent post 2 posts above, thanks Islander. I would only add that a Tractix replacement horn is available for the squawker (midgange K400 or 401) that I and many others consider an improvement.
  20. Looks like at the 1.5 ohm output load setting you will get a little over 3 times the power out into 32 ohm headphones. That's about +5db. So a little more headroom. Bass is better, yea OK I can believe that. Why someone would not want that I don't know. Seems to me like we want to deliver the most power possible to the load, or at least have the ability to do so.
