  1. Great thread Joe, learning of many other artists I look forward to hearing. Jack De Keyser that vindeville mentions is a local (Toronto) legend I've been going to see for 20 plus years. He is amazing live.
  2. Just bought this 180g....sounds fantastic both through my quartets and through my Grado cans
  3. Even more rarer finding a GARRARD 75 TURNTABLE that looks like a Dual TT.

    The way it is.

You forgot to leave % of us who don't care either way not living within the US borders.
  5. Klipsch still sells the Mics for calibration. I looked into it and think they run about 30 dollars. I used the mic from my UMC-1 and it was tempermental but worked well. When I sold my rt-10d all I did was use the demo mode for the guy and his eyes lit up and was sold!
  6. Same seller. Sorry just saw this again. Yes you need to be subsriber to see the Barter town section.
  7. Just saw this Ad today. Thought people might like to check out. http://www.canuckaudiomart.com/details/649107876-1956_klipshorns_read_ad/
  8. 800 in Vegas.......go grab em !.....I saw them on Audiokarma as well. he put pics up.
  9. I have a different model then the omni mounts, but same principle. Instead of putting screws into my rb81's then rb 61's I used velcro tape and it works perfectly safe. I just used 2 small squares on the speakers bottoms.
  10. http://www.critesspeakers.com/ I did my Quartets last summer and loved the improvements tweeters, mids and new x-overs all from Mr Crites. Great and easy guy to deal with. I loved them before the mods, after the mods I'm keeping them until I go big!
  11. I found it on Canuckaudiomart from a guy in Montreal. It is a custom one built with lead cylinder in middle. It is a lot heavier then the one that came with my Kyocera turntable. I can certainly see it flatten out Lp's but uncertain if I hear any sonic differences. Just looks cool spinning ! Duder, my friend did not take pictures during the Plinth build, but I can take some of the under carriage at some point. The plinth is around 25lbs total. Thanks, it was the old school look I was going for since getting into 2 channel and getting my first McIntosh with walnut case as it looked classy. I just built the system around it being patient. I paid a little more then I wanted for the breadbox dustcover, but after seeing it I'm glad I did as it looks great!
  12. 2 channel system finally all put together: McIntosh c28 preamp with walnut case McIntosh M250 amp Dual 1019 Turntable walnut Plinth Maverick D1 tube DAC Squeezebox Duet music server Grado SR80i African Padauk wood headphones. Antique piano stool
  13. "Can't tell if he is saying the drive isn't being recognized at all" That's what I'm saying. I have put a thumbdrive formatted to NTFS, then loaded files onto drive then attached to video player and it did not read it at all. I reformatted that same drive to FAT32 and reinstalled the same files and the media player recognised it and played it . I guess i have to do my homework. I don't recognise any terms I used as "analog"
  14. Check the properties when connected to laptop. You might have to reformat it to another format. If it's NTFS then format to FAT32 or exFat << not sure if that spelled correctly. I had same problem with video media player.
  15. Are you willing to send across border to Toronto for a few extra dollars? I'd love to test it out when you're ready!
  16. I have the D1 with upgraded op amp and a bendix tube and it sounds great. Good price for them too
  17. I just sold mine a month ago for 500. For that money (999$) there are way better options out there.
  18. Might be worth a look see https://dallas.craigslist.org/dal/ele/4272596720.html
  19. You may not "need" the rc-64, but after you heard it you'd "want " it !! My rb81's are keeping up nicely with my rc64 after swapping out my rf-35's (82 iv's older version) until I find RF63 or 83's
  20. Back down to 1896.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-RF-7-II-Black-Tower-Speakers-Pair-RF7-MK-II-B-Stock-/390737047356?pt=Speakers_Subwoofers&hash=item5af9be2f3c
  21. I'm Canadian so I'm guessing Wisconsin <<<<< I don't know if that's spelled right?...lol
  22. Good deal sorry to derail the thread but did you notice a big difference between the 52 and the 64? I am saving for the 64 ...PM me if better There is a night and day difference when I went from rc62 to rc64....its a whole other league
  23. Here is a cheap solution that works for me. http://www.spincleanrecordwasher.com/
  24. Sometimes it's all about timing. Myself and Dustin Diamond (AKA 'Screech' from tv show "saved by the bell") in green room when I opened for him a few years ago in Toronto.
