Klipsch La Scala purchase with Mid and Tweeter driver issues
OO1 replied to Mycuff's topic in Technical/Restorations
the aftermarket K-77 diaphragms are pure trash , here is klipsch part # 127126 ,there are the quality diaphragms , dont touch the original K-77 diaphragm that's working properly https://reconingspeakers.com/products-page/klipsch-k77f-127126-diaphragm/ -
Help deciding: Heresy IV ($1800) or Chorus II ($1500)

stick with the Heresy IV , you're better off buying the newer product vs tinkering with older speakers -
Klipsch La Scala purchase with Mid and Tweeter driver issues
OO1 replied to Mycuff's topic in Technical/Restorations
the klipsch tweeters a re available with a kit that uses a pre-soldered diaphragm ,roughly 10 minutes , no need to solder anything except removing 4 screws. -the mids dirver requires soldering , but it's not hard to do for anyone handy with a soldering iron . -the Lascala grilles are in great shape , these are Dealer add-ons , most likely stapled on the added wood trim , very nice grilles , expensive fabric + very rare copper badges is certainly better than none -

Klipschorn, tail boards or not with tight corners?
OO1 replied to Audiophile53's topic in Technical/Restorations
enclosed backs alike the AK-6 /AK-5 are a plus structurally and sonically even if you have proper corners , since the khorn cabinet's backbone becomes stronger and stiffer by the addition of quite a few braces to the sides and tail piece , all of which are then covered over with 3/4 inch panels resulting in improved bass response , -

anytime peak season hits , backlogs are to be expected , klipsch implemented a ticket system a while back that avoids being on hold on the phone , the customer fills the online support form , once the form is received by klipsch CS via email , the request are handled in the order they were received , and CS responds to the email once the person's turn comes around based on that list ,

you'd better get used to it , cause that's the new reality across all North America and with all industries , forget the old days , the world has changed , back-orders , supply problems , staff shortages , cies simply cant find workers to fill jobs

these are as close as I could find , email the seller , check whether these can replace the SCK-048 https://www.ebay.ca/itm/224371318902

nope , if there are 50 CS agents taking calls and they have 1000 calls coming in due to the Holiday season , there's only so many hands to go around ,

Receiver Advice (Marantz NR1200) Negative Review for Heresy IVs
OO1 replied to Cacti's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
none of these amps rival The Yamaha A-S1200 since it is a proven HIFI amp for the Heresy IV ,with lots of forum members currently using the amp with fabulous results on the Heresy-Forte and Cornwall IV ,the Heresy IV requires a very low distortion amp , with higher damping factor and the highest quality components , the A-S 1200 is basically a vintage Japanese 70's amp with a superb preamp Made in 2024 with the latest parts available , it's on par with the Hegel amps worth 5k$ . -
