Yea i have always liked that movie,,,also Battries not included and Harry and the Hendersons.I got it on dvd and tape ..lol...Rick
  6. There is a record store with more than million albums going out of business unless someone buys it.You can see story in Kansas city star business section for wednesday im sure alot of forum members might get some albums they are looking for there ,i never been in it and i live here...i going to try and go soon though.Rick
  7. I did same thing few years ago,,,,,then i found the Forum wow,,,,brought me back. There for awhile i didnt even turn my Scalas on then i got into the forum stuff.I built ALKs bought old pair of rough Ks and fixed them, got three old HK recievers. How about you making a trip to some members homes and report back on how thier system is set up,, could be cool.I wish i could find a person interested in learning this stuff but most the people i meet have no interest in this im sure you all know the look when you say Klipsch...lol...Have you ever thought about the R/C control...hobby airplanes,cars....or slotcars are cool to if you have a raceway close.Just get out and do something like go to bose store with a Klipsch shirt on,,,lol,,,,Rick
  8. What if this problem is caused by what i found out re doing my 74 K-Horns...i found that the back air chamber was not airtight and it leaked pretty bad.Maybe some of us forum members who report bad bass have this problem and dont know it, its easy to fix and check,it does not take much of a crack or glue leak to cause a big leak.Rick
  9. Sweeeeeeet,,, do tell how you got the finish on those Heresys.Rick
  10. Instead of being negative, why dont we try to help Amy and Klipsch make this thing better?? Just cause some of us dont like it does not mean its not good for what it is.I am still with Amy on this i think some units not sounding right for some reason the guys who went to Hope said it was good. Rick
  11. Looks like a Porsche 911 and VW rabbit conv.....not sure about the suv though...Rick
  12. Why not be the first to get a new set of Heresys on the forum?Rick
  13. That just goes to show you even a audio guy didnt set the K-Horns up right and then goes on to blast the Ks in the review. If someone wants to review something i think he should at least set it up right i mean they dont review a high performance car after they put on 30 dollar tires and bad gas in it do they? Rick
  14. On a HK430 there are fuses on the back ...on the inside next to the trannys and on the bottom side. You have to take the bottom panel off dont forget the fuse could look good and still be bad ,also clean the holders next to the trannys.Rick
  15. Hi welcome...They were and still are made in Hope,Ark snd i have rebuilt my 74 crossovers with parts from BEC on this forum and they do sound better. Also ALK has a new design type crossover you can build or by from him, i built one of those for my LaScalas to.Rick
  16. Think about this back in 1980 when i made like 7.00 hour my Scalas cost me new 700 so 100 times my pay.The old price list i got from 1978 lists the Cornwall 150.00 lower than the Scala so would that put new Cornwall about 3800.00 if new Scalas are 4000.00 a pair. But back then they had Andy knocking Heresys out like crazy and putting Cornwalls together to ,i dont think todays worker will work that hard. This just a thought to think about... price is what the market will bear anyway i work in a bicycle shop where 300.00 and 4000.00 bikes get sold everyday even though they both got 2 wheels lol.Rick
  17. With a handle like ,,speakergirl...why would you want to sell what some on here consider the best speaker in the world? Please dont tell us your going to the ...blose side....say it aint so,,,lol,,,Rick ps. please stay around we need more females on here to mellow us out,,,lol
  18. Oppps ... my bad ...sorry,,i need to read the stuff better huh,Rick
  19. http://gon4.audiogon.com/i/a/f/1114977105.jpg this looks like a kit to me.Rick
  20. Since you didnt get these new out of box you need to make sure the phase and other wiring on the crossover is still correct. Are they sealed to the corners with seal matrial on the tailboards?Do you have another reciever or amp to try?Just some ideas im sure there will be more. Rick
  21. When i was working on my K-Horn rebuild i got industrial enamel black from Lowes and used it on the back side of bass horn. But i also sanded inside the Midrange throat.Polished the hole from the driver all the way out...it wasvery rough...but when i painted the mid with this enamel it greatly damped the ringing.... the plus side it looks good to.Rick
  22. Well to run all the things you want to run you will need wind,,solar..and alot of batteries plus a inverter...There is a company called outback that makes whole inverter systems but you need to know your power requirments first.Front loading washing machine will use less power and water. The cost is going to be on how much power you need and how you use it.Like my last electric bill i used 45 KWH per day so you need to know what you use ,the fridge is going to be high but most of your lights can be 12 volt DC which will save some electric for the big stuff.Going off grid is not easy but can be done.Rick
  23. At the comp, usa in KC area it was set up but no ipod in it so you could hear it....but the bloss one next to it had ipod in it.Klipsch should ship ipod to store with display make sure they work right to.Rick
  24. Thanks guys that is what i figured would happen they wont fix it if it not broke. The 930 works good so i will just use it see what happens but i didnt want the tech. to rebuild it just adjust all the adjustable stuff in there and it looks like there is a lot of it in a 930 the HK430 does not have all the adjustable things in it maybe thats why it is so quiet huh.Rick
