  1. Prayers and thoughts for Maron and his well being and recovery.
  2. Paul W. Klipsch still alive Quality beautiful music on FM, great Rock on AM AM tuners worth a flip Station Wagons Marathon Candy Bars Real HiFi dealers Records everywhere Woolworth's record counter Long John Silver's Peg Legs A&W fresh root beer Jukeboxes Cars with distinctive styling Zenith Radios and Television Sets Civilized People
  3. Terrific. And Bob Johnston's work with all Nashville was terrific. He was also a friend of mine when I lived near Nashville. Sadly missed!
  4. You folks are making me hungry. And my waistline dislikes this. Bad enough I have two beer guts, Hans and Ludwig. Carry on!
  5. I did not know her, but her reputation is impeccable. She is one of our family. And thusly I am very saddened at her loss. My prayers and condolences to all here and to her family.
  6. Sansui 4000 and 5000 receivers, McIntosh MA 5100, and McIntosh MC 2505-2 (and MC 50 and MC 250 variants) are terrific with Klipsch speakers, and thusly fine choices for your consideration.
  7. This machine and the F 44 Fine Line are the finest Ampex consumer open reel offerings ever built in the tube era. Both are simple, one motor transports, have a few quirks mechanically, and sound terrific.
  8. An excellent amplifier. A bargain. I own the metered cousin to it, the MC 2505, and own the last version of said amplifier. I am happy with my example. I use a MX 114 tuner-preamplifier with mine. And it is terrific paired with Klipsch Heritage speakers. Why not?
  9. When I see new quality machines, and I see newly made CRO2 and Metal, a revival we have. N'yet. Only the beginning. Will likely be a full blown revival, but will take time.
  10. Have you considered Heresy and a small subwoofer?. A thought!
  11. I have a contrarian idea. How about a low damping factor, discrete transistor classic for driving your Fortes? In Marantz, how about a nice Model 18 receiver or a good old 30-50 watt 1970's Marantz or Yamaha classic. They will sound nice with Fortes.
  12. I say a good Heresy HIP and a McIntosh MC 250 in bridged mono would improve that sound.
  13. I hope Valerie has many, many more Birthdays. Happy Belated Birthday, Valerie Klipsch. Keep on being yourself.
  14. Yes, Klipsch Chorus does that every time. Get them paired with good sources and placed right, every record, CD, and tape you own is brand new. You hear things you never heard before. And it makes you smile. I all of a sudden had thousands of new music to listen to due to the Klipsch effect.
  15. I like refined and a bargain, and spending more for an amplifier of quality. CornWalls are efficient, and good tubed or low damped SS amplifiers are heavenly with them and their temporary Chorus replacement in the line, which I am listening to right now. I use a McIntosh MA 5100 with them, and the Dynaco ST 35 is heavenly in great functioning order, properly refurbished, as does the Fisher 500 C and 800 C.
  16. For me, there is McIntosh, and then everyone else. Musical as heck. Klipsch are efficient, 50 WPC plenty. MA 5100 and MC 2505 great bargains.
  17. Open reel spoken here. I own Otari MX 5050 B machines. Both of them free from fellow engineers or stations. One slow speeds, one high speed.
  18. I have been playing lots of RPM, Kent, and ABC-Paramount, Bluesway, and ABC 45 RPM discs in tribute to the fine B. B. King, the King Of The Blues.
  19. Awesome post. All here are family. And you've been superb friendly folks on the forum. And the more I hear Klipsch, the better I love them. I find them much better looking than discrete things tucked away, their presence indicates a house with love of fine culture and sound of lasting value. The presence of a pair of Klipsch in a home indicates a person with fine taste. And interesting personality connected with it.

    Tragic News

Scott and Donna's passing are very sad. Klipsch is such a family company, that events like this are much higher impact. Thoughts and Prayers to all the Klipsch employees and friends of the company from us. Best wishes to everyone, Peace and Godspeed.
  21. I love this thread. Klipsch people seem to be the finest woodworkers and craftspeople in the speaker business. They seem to enjoy and take special pride in their work. I enjoyed seeing the photos of these Cornwalls being built. And came away amazed and learned something about their build. Thanks for sharing.
  22. FIFA in comedy news today got renamed THIEFA or La FIFA Nostra.
  23. Congratulations on a beautiful pair of mahogany Belles. And like you, I am an open reel fan (used to own a Pioneer RT 707, now run an Otari MX 5050 BQ II) Analog and Klipsch spoken here.
  24. Indeed. Klipsch Withdrawal Syndrome is never good. Gotta have your tunes for relaxation from stressful modern life. Enjoy thy music!
  25. Want the best Marantz receiver ever? Get thee a nice Model 18, the only true Saul receiver. And ideal for Cornwalls. 40 WPC, no IC, low damped. Ideal for Klipsch!
