  1. There seems to be Forum Members who are saying the same---No Mods or Upgrades. It's Not a Klipsch Speaker---Let's just do away with the "Tech/Mods" feature here on the Forum. NO UPDATING---IF IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH THEN--IT SHOULD BE GOOD NOW.
  2. Agreed--I have called Klipsch for parts--They're gonna get back to me.---I'll give em another Year.
  3. If you're talking to me---what difference does it make? That's not the point. I see many people on this forum that spend thousands of dollars that have "upgrades" performed. Just to answer you question--I have 3 Synergies across the front sound stage for the cost of one reference speaker---being disabled I have to pick and choose how I spend my money. I have no regrets upgrading my speakers and they sound pretty dam good.
  4. It has pained me to read this topic.....just really nasty stuff from members. I am using "parts" in my Synergy's that are not "Klipsch Approved"--because some of the parts Klipsch used produced an inferior sound than what I'm used to having at home. A Member--Deang--took my crossovers and upgraded them with Much Better Caps than the "Klipsch Approved Parts" that were in my speakers. I'm grateful for his help. Now I have a "Klipsch Cabinet" with the original Mid-Woofers and a up-graded driver for the tweeter and a Modded X-Over. Does this mean I do Not have Klipsch Speakers? Should I not post or mention them because they do Not have "Klipsch Approved Parts"? My Synergies were "decent" speakers for the "average listener" who unpack and play and Don't Care. That is Not me-- So I guess you want to change the rules?? where I cannot talk about my experience???
  5. I have 3---1012311---1 inch dome came out of 3 F-20 speakers-- aluminum--- used 1 year-- with housing to mate to the horn--$20--you pay postage.
  6. What tweeters are they? I have the aluminum ones sitting around will let go cheap.
  7. I'm Kindler and Gentler Too---Sometimes all I have to do to get in trouble is Show Up.
  8. If you find you have to install new cane you might want to try coating it with a clear urethane or something to give it more strength being careful not to close any openings in the weave. Just a thought---That would also give it a little sheen.
  9. I'd like to see a Pic of you sitting there with a mic taped to your head--- Do you use Duct Tape?
  10. If you get this tune in.
  11. If it's a 2.2 and you're going in there---You should have been told to replace the oil pump and seals while you have it apart. Since it's a fairly tight space and not one you'd want to do everyday---The water and oil pump with the timing belt should be the job you're aiming to do for a one time repair. Checking the belt tensioners wouldn't be a bad idea either. If you do not replace the oil pump--it's a good idea to replace the oil pump seals since they leak at that location on that car as they get older. As far as replacement parts--- Aisin Parts work best and last the longest.
  12. I did one of those test sweeps--while interesting and successful -- it made me nauseous. I felt kinda ICKY afterwards--
  13. It's a shame the way this conversation has gone--I've read this here before. My guns and I will remain together--No matter what any bureaucrat decides to Rule. My weapons are used for deterrent and defense. Someone from a particular religion decided to go and Murder people with whom he was disenchanted with because of their lifestyle. It's pretty plain and simple and this type of action happens all too frequently in the country his parents come from. While he decided to Spill the blood of innocent party goers the Christians in America lined up to shared their own blood to help save the survivors----John--30
  14. Tom Petty on Now. Just thought some of you might want to know
  15. I've read this thread---Something is not wired correctly or there is an power issue. I know my H-K would power those just fine. I think it's operator error. Just my .02 cents
  16. I don't think most modern day AVR's can handle 4 Ohm loads-- How loud will you be playing these speakers and what are you using. Even with my H-K--I'd be careful about driving 4 Ohm Speakers--HEAT I though about a set of Maggies but they are a constant 4 Ohm Load and I might need a 4 Ohm Capable Amp.

    What I Got Today!

is this one of the lighweight--like 11 lbs--H-K's? How does it sound--tell us a little more when you use it I'd be interested to hear from someone who has one.
  18. I use a Water Filter for drinking water. I do not do drinking water from a bottle because it doesn't have to meet any standards that a municipal water supply would have to meet--meaning there are no standards for bottled water. I think MOST bottled water comes from a tap anyways. For filtered water I use the Alexapure System. http://www.alexapure.com/
  19. My doctor gives me little Blue Pills and now everything is fine.
  20. I don't know if I could live with the limited top end. Your ears are better than mine then. I cannot hear 15Khz. Skip ahead to 4:40 for 12KHz. I did the "Hearing Test HD" at You Tube through my Synergies and I could hear up to 15K.
  21. I soaked a Pork Loin in Worchestershire all night and baked it in my Oilless Fryer. Along with other goodies---we had a great meal and I sent some home with my daughter.
  22. If you drink alot and spend many hours on the floor---these will be just what you need.
  23. Reading the description for the new Klipsch Dolby Atmos Speakers, I don't think they use a conventional compression driver-- it sounds like they use a tweeter--"1" Linear Travel Suspension Titanium Tweeter" Looking at the way the atmos has to be made--it make sense but I'm surprised they would use this in a Upper Line Speaker. This might also be the Tweeter used in the Palladium Series since the cabinet would not allow the room for a conventional compression driver. If the OP was having high frequency harshness--it might be due to this tweeter. I haven't heard this tweeter and don't know how it compares to a compression driver.
