    Mug Shots

Thanks - you don't realize how close you are, but that's a headshot I was using for the part of John. I reached out to the production during initial casting and they didn't get back to me. So I didn't get the role. That's something I wanted to do at one time in my life, but now I keep my hair shorter - I probably won't ever get to do it. And yes, I'm serious. Seems like an easy role with no solo singing and no speaking so I thought I could safely pull that off with my zero acting / singing experience. Didn't even get the chance.
  2. For a time on my K-400's, I had leather bags full of sand laying on top of them. To be honest, I didn't notice much of a difference, but easily done and easily reversible. If the horn is resonating, you just want to deaden the resonance. Some swear by the rope caulk, but deadening is deadening, and the bag of sand is a heck of a lot easier to remove. I since changed out to tractrix-curve horns and like them better. You can always move a tap on your autotransformer to drop the mids in level a bit. I would bring a bunch of blankets, quilts, and pillows into the room and see what that does. For my room, adding fire-retardant acoustic foam and a wall tapestry helped a bunch.
  3. Ok, well, if you want them you’ll have to tell me what blueboard is and where to get it. PM me. I don’t think I have energy for a build of any kind at this point in my life, as much as I want to.
  4. Thanks for the link fix, Jeff. Yeah, I think they’d go in a big flat-rate box with a ton of bubble wrap. I worry about the box getting dropped without adequate packing I would love to see a 300B design of yours with these, though. 2A3 too.
  5. NO LONGER AVAILABLE I have a pair of One Electron UBT-3 output transformers. 3K ohms to 16/8/4 ohms. Specs here: https://www.tubesandmore.com/sites/d...s/p-tubt-3.pdf These are like new. I hooked them up to a TSE-II board, but never applied power. Leads are original lengths. $165 for the pair, $35 USPS shipping to the lower 48.
  6. yeah sorry. my brain does that sometimes
  7. https://www.parts-express.com/100uf-100v-electrolytic-non-polarized-crossover-capacitor--027-360 just bend one of the leads around the body?
  8. It says test before purchase is welcomed. Maybe not a scam. I’d take some friends along, though.
  9. What's the voltage potential between the two grounds without the wire? 2V P-P doesn't sound right. Is that loaded or unloaded?
  10. You say local pickup only (twice!) but you don't say where you are.
  11. "Paul Klipsch taught me a lot, and some of it was about speakers." - @Chief bonehead Great quote and I can't wait to see the Diamond Jubilee.
  12. Well, if it helps at all, the book is fantastic. If shipping is a problem, you have a solution.
  13. You can buy a PDF and download the audio files.
  14. Someday we will do just that. 6 La Scalas and a THTLP. It'll be heavenly and we will take some photos of the stack so folks here can drool. Until then, as I've told you, you're welcome to the THTLP anytime you'd like to borrow it. It isn't built super well, and someday I will build it again with the right plywood, but it is airtight and man does it sound fantastic. Really puts the low end on the LS setup.
  15. I’m 53. Soon to be 54. Lost a brother in 2013 at the age of 56 and another this year at the age of 63. I have none left. Both of them had heart attacks at 56, just like our father did. All overweight, all diabetics. A little more than a year ago, my doctor said I was one point away on my fasting glucose level from him declaring me a diabetic. It was like he hit me with a 2x4. I started eating right and exercising every day, started seeing a cardiologist, the whole deal. I’m 6’ even. I went from 238 to 195, where I am now. I bike maybe 3 to 5 miles a day, and eat mostly chicken, turkey, and fish, lots of veggies, and no fast food. The old food now tastes awful. I’ve tried it. I am honestly in the best shape of my life. I will not return to the sedentary, junk-eating lifestyle. No way. I have living to do, and I hope to do it. I hope this is an encouragement to anyone that is a little overweight or flirting with diabetes. You can fix things. Do it!
  16. I can imagine the rest. WOW.
