I got 20 yrs out of a basic Bosh dishwasher. The pump failed and was no longer available. We are 3 yrs into a Kitchenaid 38 decibel dishwasher that is almost silent with no issues so far. I buy half priced scratch and dents at Lowes or Best Buy. George

Lead melts at 621 degrees. Maybe you could use a torch

If you have a hole in the ball you could epoxy a small threaded rod into the hole and use a come along to extract the ball.

I installed 3015lf in my 74 Cornwalls, listened for 6 months and went back to the original k33 square magnet. the K33 has way more bass at all volumes. At higher volumes they have a nice thump.
