  1. I'll be putting an order in for a Parasound A52+ in tomorrow but still need a preamp to go with it. I'm looking at this Integra here but I've never seen much about this brand. My setup right now would is 5.1 and likely max out at 7.2. I'm not sure I can do atmos successfully with ceilings that are just short of 7 feet high but I'm open to being told otherwise. I'm not entirely against buying used but I do appreciate having up to date gear. I have no idea if DTS:X and such have any benefit or affect on 5 or 7 channel surround sound so I'm interested in learning what would satisfy my needs
  2. Because you didn't send a message sooner than me!
  3. How do you know the difference other than calling and asking ahead of time?
  4. I wish these were 30s so I could finally give a test against CF4 and see which I like more
  5. Your cherry veneer looks way better than mine does. Mine looks like it was made using several small strips instead of from a big sheet
  6. If you are using Chrome, right click and choose "Paste as plain text". Or Control+Shift+V works
  7. No I do not. At most I will have a standard 5.1 setup. I've owned a KV4 for a while before selling it again on the prospect of getting a 5th CF4. Yep, very aware of this
  8. Title. I have four (4) CF-4 in possession currently and hope to acquire a 5th while at the Pilgrimage. I'm not sure how having CF4 as rear surrounds will work in my future house (moving in July) so I'm scouting for possible alternatives right now. I've pondered using KV4 as surrounds which seems like the next best method because of their much smaller size
  9. Wow, a company with some brains about sending things to cold weather climates. I work for UPS and you would be amazed how many people buy boxes of wine when it's -10f or more. Those damn things always explode
  10. Is that mid horn custom made wood? Looks like plastic on the finished product
  11. Colored wires inside means you have version 3
  12. I've had CF4 and Cornwalls cranked in my single wide trailer I'm in now. Sound will leak through window areas more than the rest of the house. New ones are decently well built surprisingly. I'm more concerned about my subwoofer than anything else
  13. Post not found. A post with an ID of 6509983191 could not be found. The post has expired, or the post ID in the URL is invalid.
  14. These are CF3 and version 2 or 3. My v3 have that screen on the horn (my v1 do not) so I'm leaning towards that right now. Only way to know is to get an inside pic of the wires. Colored wires = v3. Clear (visible copper) = v2.
  15. .flac quality audio is taken from the CDs in most cases. And MQA is supposed to be from the final master before it gets compressed to CD quality. This is how I understand it
  16. It will have a box with an M inside it under the album. Just like E means Explicit. This is why some albums have 4 or more copies on Tidal. There is hardly any MQA stuff on Tidal that I listen to. And even if there was, that extra $10/month definitely isn't worth it to me.

    CF-4

The aluminum diaphragms are no longer available, correct. But you can always slap on another driver to the horn
  19. So what do you need to push all the air in that?
  20. I feel like I'm looking at a moon with that dust cap
  21. If someone can find me some Sherry Oak Captain Morgain you would be my new best friend
  22. I was gonna buy a Dewalt radio for my truck but it didn't come with a battery or charger (expected). The damn battery packs were $200!
