Judging from the crossover, I'd guess that is from the mid 50's...might have a Stephens Tru-sonic 103lx2 woofer in there if original. I don't believe the University Cobreflex mid-range squawker horn shown was ever stock, but I could be wrong. Looks like they have been trying to sell it for several months....

Too bad you can't just brace/stiffen the tangent cabs...I haven't compared the outside dimensions vs the H2s

Regarding horn ringing; I have also heard of this treatment...I am in a similar situation with 511b's...can someone post a picture of how it is applied? I think I get it, but as I understand it you just need to cover the "lips" that extend beyond the flange?

For low frequency extension, both need subs

My advice is to focus on the tweeters and crossover...add the Crites TYPE A/4500 Crossovers and CT120 Tweeters

In a similar vein, this Bottlehead unit attracts mostly head phone users (it is only in kit form), but has a really nice 2 watts per channel out.
