WillyBob
lol Now that the wind had laid down, I figured out what to do for fun, with it ... Nobody ever accused me of being "quick". With my stature, 6' 1" and 125lb, instead of fighting the wind. Make a wing suit/kite and tether myself. I try to keep things on the light side.

WillyBob
Folks would see me standing in the surf fishing in HI and ask, "Which one the pole?".... and how do I stand in the surf? Loved to body surf. I barely float, so I come in like a waterlogged piece of driftwood ... half submerged.

Although a nice tooth pick you would make --

That should make the "washing machine" easier to handle. 1
oldtimer
I used to body surf the shore break at Ehukai. The washing machine was pretty scary, and I ended up with sand in places I never thought possible. 1
WillyBob
HaHaHa Ain't that the truth. being as the site is PG13, we will let it go at that... just that some never see the light of day w/o a concerted effort Anahola Beach was my favorite place. Mahala'apu[?] was fun, but you had to pull up short. Coming into boiling sand would be pleasant compared to fist sized rock.
WillyBob
we had to pull a little old lady out of the shore break at Poipu. We thought she was just having fun until she couldn't get out. I hate to think about where she got sand...
