Rhetor
On the second cup of Starbucks beans. Got 3 hand rails up for mom yesterday . . . 2 in the bath and 1 in her room for mom. I could have used a contortionist in the bathroom. No I need some paint to hide the flaws in my handiwork around the handrail in Mom's room. Another trip to Lowes on the agenda for a pint of paint. Making a sandwich for the lovely to help her get off to work.
Rhetor
forgot my bank card at home this morning -- stop at this donut place to get a cup of joe before hitting the office and realize i don’t have any money -- scraped together $2 in change out of the car, which was enough for a cup (Hazlenut flavored). Despite spending 20 years in the military--i girlie up my coffee with milk and sugar. Gone are the days sitting in the Quarterdeck shack, drinking bilge water and smoking cigars (and no we weren’t supposed to smoke on watch). Funny! For old times sake, I sometimes get out an old used OD green wool sock, put coffee grounds in it, tie a not in the top, and drop in in a pan of water and boil it on the camp stove . . . drinking a cup brings back bivouac memories . . . and makes you appreciate not being in the field anymore!
Rhetor
Carl I don't envy you on that procedure I've heard some of nurses will check out the equipment while you're out They tie a bow on it if impressed. Now I know where the tip money came from last time, thanks. "Tips" you say? Reminds me of the old story. Did you hear about the rabbi who circumcised elephants. (Wait for it . . . ) He only worked for tips!

minermark
Morning Gang All Quite on the western front, that would be my take on the rain. Our local weatherpersons, = I hope all you folks are preparing for the impending doom, the incoming CAT6 Rainstorm is due Thursday morning, sources are already reporting a plywood shortage. Reports are coming in from stores in northern Calif of Generator and battery shortages. Reports are also coming in of a Porn shortage in southern Calif. This station would like to remind its viewers to flush their toilet three times per hour to get LA prepared for the flow. In other news, Mcdonolds stock is down 6% throughout the world. Yeah, these doom and gloomers are a daily downer, the Media in this state sucks. It seems to have gotten worse after the Honey Boo Boo take down. Time for that second cup, got up early, rolled the trashcan to the curb, my workday is over, Cheers.

ChuckAb3
the incoming CAT6 There categorizing rain out there, there bored. Happens in the Denver area all the time except with snow. Big drama every time the nearby mountains get hit with only minor results here, but it's reported as Denver. Can't decide if they're just stupid or dishonest. Either way, very little credibility. Still fighting a cold or whatever but got some meds and hopefully feel better soon. Happy Tuesday to all. Later, guys.
Moderators dtel Posted December 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2014 As this photo clearly shows, I'm also a construction worker. ' And very generous with the glue/sugar stuff, probably hurricane proof now, I love the taste of gingerbread.
Moderators dtel Posted December 9, 2014 Moderators Share Posted December 9, 2014 Big drama every time the nearby mountains get hit with only minor results here They give us a percentage of having rain, it seems every time they say 80-100% chance we get very little so they quickly change the forecast, I think they sit by a window and update often ?

tnr
Liquid diet today, scope tomorrow. WOOOO HOOOO!!!! Nurse sad clear liquids all day today. I'm assuming gin and vodka qualify if I leave the olives out. I hope the went well! Very nice tree tnr.....I can see why you're worn out. You have earned that eggnog! Carl I don't envy you on that procedure I've heard some of nurses will check out the equipment while you're out They tie a bow on it if impressed. If you don't find a bow......I'm sure they just forgot I had my 1st a couple years back. One second I am talking to the Dr., the next thing I know I am waking up in a different room, disoriented, and no idea what went on! Wish they had OTC sleep aid pills that worked that good. Wait, maybe I should have posted this in the thread crapping honey pot thread. Sadist named that stuff Go Litely... It should have been named Fire Hose. Can't agree with you more. As this photo clearly shows, I'm also a construction worker. ' And very generous with the glue/sugar stuff, probably hurricane proof now, I love the taste of gingerbread. Look for the seasonal Gingerbread Twix bars...they go great with the spiked eggnog
Tarheel
Glad you made it through your procedure Carl! Bet you lost 5 pounds Yep I like gingerbread too. I like cinnamon a bunch. Got a freshly baked loaf of cinnamon swirled bread from a bakery nearby yesterday....$7.15. It will all be gone by bed time tonight. Got the meds for Jakes joints and stiffness yesterday so he is on day two. The cool weather agrees with him. LF is staying in B&Bs each night traveling through Ireland......getting some good food. I, on the other hand, am eating chicken pot pie and the cinnamon bread. Get well Chuck! Cheers Gents
