Because the forum is full of snide remarks about you pleading to become a moderator.

ah - so you just believe everything you read, without performing any due diligence on your own part. i shall now have to read all of your content through that filter.

Oh, please do. I enjoy nothing more than being corrected. And in the process, you will no doubt learn a lot. I favor this idea greatly. Maybe you and jimjimjimbo and the gang can all read together as a kind of "mini education?"

And, I thought you had pleaded to become a moderator.

why would you think that? I became a moderator before you joined the forum.

Which incarnation are you speaking of?

Keith

Now tell me. How long are you going to continue this passive-aggressive sniping? What business are you trying to advance here with your question? Will you be ok, when I finally am fed up with your out of context stalking, and really reply in earnest? Will you be crying to the minders that I am "unfair" and "uncivil" and just plain old mean? I suggest you stop doing it, only because it is fruitless, meaningless, and antagonistic, for no conceivable reason. But, that's just a suggestion.

You are on to something.  Horse meat being lean, certain cuts would make for an excellent meat helmet.  I can't wait for spring!

The French do it quite nicely. I didn't partake, but it's as common as say, lobster is over here.

I'm not sure what the term "meat helmet" means?

During his childhood they would make meat helmets in the spring. Duh.

Let me ask now, is that a good example of being uncivil? I asked the question of the oldtimer, and YOU answer by adding the sarcastic "duh" at the end - for no apparent reason. You were not in the convo, you were not asked the question. See what I mean here? Now, if I was in the mood, I might get sarcastic back, having been given a "free shot" so to speak. As it is, I don't find much interest in beating that dead horse. But it's still a good example to question.

And of course, no answer is forthcoming so as to leave every aspect of all these judgments as random and capricious as possible. Too bad, it was a good opportunity for some clarity. I see jimjimjimbo is back at it for no reason, so I think it is fair to assume that the term civil is left to each person to decide.

In fairness you added derp derp to a post, so apparently that sort of thing is acceptable both ways.

By "you" you obviously don't mean "me" because I don't add "derp derp" to anything. I don't even know what it means.

OK so now I will have to find the post and quote you.  Easy enough but don't frantically go back and edit.

I think it's fair to say that no one involved in this conversation is being polite. So, once again, get over yourself.
